Yup, usually do this if I have a break evenish session, saves a little time

With obvious popularity of this place, finite seating and evening weekday tournaments shown on bravo, can someone give me a first hand sense of a wait for 1-2nl on Wed and thurs nights around 6-7pm? I'll be in area last Wed and Thurs nights of Sept and would love to check it out both nights but a 90-120 minute wait would kinda suck since I am not a pit degen. Thanks.

That's likely early enough where the wait would be minimal if any.

hm.. I don't think higher tier rewards cards cards get the comp bonus.

I was there for ~3hrs (same table) and only saw an 2000 point increase.
i'm platinum so I should have ~3000 points.

can anyone verify? Mike??

Are you checking on a machine? I think the higher tier cards get bonus comp dollars but not bonus points. The reason is that a gold card member shouldn't get to platinum any faster, but you do get to eat more $7 hot dogs along the way. Dont quote me on this though, I heard it from a somewhat unreliable source

That brings me to a question. It takes 20k points to get Gold. I notice the points expire in 90days. Do I need to obtain 20k per rolling 90 days to maintain Gold? Or am I Gold for a year?

Expires in 90 days of inactivity as far as have heard.

Stupid question: to increase to gold do you need to "save" points. In other words should I not spend the points on food in order to gain gold status quicker?

Was there for Monday night football and the wait for a table was minimal.
I have to assume most Wed and Thurs nights would be similar.

All shufflers go through the GLI Labs for approvals in MD. They verify the software, that it's a random shuffle. and that nothing can be done to tamper with the machine. Then the dealer cuts the deck. I know there will be conspisracy theorists, there always are, but we have faith in their integrity.

If I recall correctly, when this question came up a few years ago somebody looked at the actual patent papers, and mention was made in them that the machines could be made to read cards, and set the order.

No one, to the best of my knowledge, has ever shown that the machines do this, or even can do this. But the patent mentions the possibility for it.

Thus, a conspiracy is born.

I've seen shufflers do it. it sorted the cards A-K and by suit.

like I said, somehow get underneath the table unnoticed, gain access to the control panel, crack the encryption, and set it up for a bad beat.

yes the dealer cuts the cards. so you have a 2 out of 10 chances of either having the top hand or the losing hand

I just got my gold card and I have been using my comp dollars all along for food. Had a zero balance at the time of getting gold card. So, you don't have to save the points.

How do you prevent this keep from happening? 2/2 players should not have to pay for something they don't get in return.

Thanks.
No you shouldn't be paying JP and we should have a plate covering the slot. I'll get bigger ones. My apologies

Thanks

Can anyone comment on the $1/2 wait list last Saturday, around noon or 1:00pm? Wondering the best time to arrive on a Saturday. Thanks in advance, PPP

A new wave of dealers comes in at 11:00am so if you can get there around then it usually seems to work out well. I am not sure about a little later than that, but I don't think your wait will be too bad.

I posted this in RC thread for Maryland.

I figured this might be a better place to get answered:

How many tier points do you get if you are playing poker with a red card?

Lets say for 1/2 and 2/5. I saw the FAQ but couldn't find the specific's about tier points.

for all tables it's $1/hr comp. 600pts converts to $1.

in theory, gold card has a 1.25x comp multipler and platinum is 1.5x so 750 and 900, respectively.
but I didn't see the 1.5x on my platinum card the one time I looked this week.
(only got 2000 pts for ~3hrs at the same table. suppose to be 3000 points.)

and whats RC?

Thanks AA!

It shouldn't be hard to get to Gold playing 1/2 in that case. 19999/600 = 33 Hours of play to reach from Red to Gold

AA,

How quickly was it after your session that you checked your points balance? I have noticed that not all points are tallied up as soon as you leave the room and may take a few hours. Last night I started with 18,338 and after 3 hours I checked my balance as I left for the night and it was only at 18,583. I only played at one table for the whole 3 hours and did not get up for a break until i left for the night. I know when I go back and check the next time I'm there I will be over 20K points and gold.

Rule of thumb: Check balance before you go and log the hours of your session and compare the points to your expected rate at your tier.

Mike,
This isn't a big issue but more of a question on how to get quicker help for the dealers when needed. Why do the dealers call out 'Supervisor'? The majority of floor supervisors don't respond until someone at the table yells 'Floor'! Is this just old habits from other areas in the casino or are the dealers being trained to ask for the 'Supervisor' instead of the 'Floor'?

The room looks great. ....I commend you on a great start and being able to handle the crowds. I love that there is a $4/$8 LO8 game every day!
