? about forward motion. Since there's no betting line if u r playing with your chips and placed infront of your cards, would that consider forward motion and resulted a call? Or is it better not to play with the chips when u r in a hand?

Thanks for all of the great trip reports everyone.

Mike thanks for doing such an incredible job. Sounds like all of the hard work has really paid off.

Really excited to have a top quality poker room 40 minutes away from DC.

Thanks for all the kind words. We know we'll have some hiccups, but I believe this is a phenomenal team and I'm proud to have worked with them today

Thanks

Mike

Add to this, a dealer told me there was a 30 minute walking rule. After that, they bag up your chips. Is this true? Most places give an hour.
Mike, will there be a dinner list for folks like coldclaychip who would like to eat during long sessions? Obviously the strict 30-min walking rule is absolutely ideal and I'm glad you chose it, but a dinner list would be a nice complement.

!
Some of us really old geezers enjoyed the 'doo wap' music (didn't hear any marching bands!). The younger guys at my table seemed to tolerate it pretty well too. Perhaps ML is trying to make us golden agers feel more relaxed around the poker brats.

I've seen the September tournament schedule and I was wondering if they'll have the $300+30 at 12 this Sunday, Sep 01. Any insight/predictions on the turnout?

The hard work and high levels of experience among your team really showed today. You guys hit the ground running and are exceeding some high expectations. Looking forward to coming back again. It was nice to meet you today.

Not much else to add that hasn't been said already.

Also GG PLOers, I was seat 9.

Today several players bought into $2/$2 with all blue, not sure if the cage was doing this on purpose or not though.
Agreed .. I hated using $2 chips at 1/2 NL .. too many blue chips in dealer rack .. ran out of whites and had to buy from people at table til chip runners could get around

Limit players, was the buy-in actually capped at 10BB's?

how much for drinks? coffee, water etc? are they complimentary or not?
As far as I could tell, drinks were complimentary with the exception of alcohol. Cocktail service was top notch today too. Very fast.

For those that waited to cash out in the poker room cage after 4:00 pm, how was that?
I think it will be fine on a normal day. Today, rather than wait in the long line at the poker room cage, I cashed out my chips at one of the other cages in the casino. It wasn't far from the poker room and only a few in line. Didn't take long at all. On a normal day, if the cage is staffed sufficiently, I wouldn't expect much of a wait .. but if there is, the other cages are good options.

I play pit games sometimes at MD Live and the cage employees can be absolutely dreadfully slow. I also cashed in at the main cage outside the poker room; had my chips neatly in the rack and it took about 3x as long as it would take at a different casino.

I don't mean to nit pick but this is probably the only down side to this room that I can see so I'm just trying to offer some feedback.

Thanks.
Straddle was on in about 30% of the total hands at the table today. Some people like myself mixed it up between rounds with the straddle, and others like the guy next to me straddled his utg nearly every round

No clue. I only had water. But not only were they constantly coming by the tables, they were quick getting drinks as well.

Some of the players at table 24 this afternoon totally agree with you. For a poker room the music is a little too loud.

Great job today! And you do have a great team .. I was so happy to see several of my favorite dealers and floor staff from Ctown and Del Park there -- as well as many player friends from around the area. Really looking forward to playing cash and tournaments there.

A few quoteless responses to others itt:

-- I saw one person with a tablet at a table today.

-- The blue $2 chips do look similar to the green $25 chips, but they (the blues) have a salmon edge spot that should be visible across the table, and help one differentiate between the two.

-- At my 1/2 table we got a rake reduction to $3 once we got down to 6 players, around 3:30pm.

-- I agree with the other comments about the music. I personally prefer no music because I think it adds to the ambient noise in the room and forces people to tallk louder to have a conversation, which adds even more to the ambient noise, forcing others to do the same. Also, most people who really want to listen to music when they play generally bring their own.

If we have to have music, please turn it down, and give us as much variety as possible. Thanks!

It's a beautiful room, Mike. I hope things went well for you today.

I suspect that the 10 BB "cap" for limit games is actually a 10 BB minimum. I don't know that I've ever heard of a limit game with a max buyin.

Also another vote for any music in the room being very quiet. It's sometimes nice when the room is really slow and quiet but can be turned off or kept down when things pick up.

Add me to the no music or low volume list. I'd much rather be able to converse with people at the table.

(I wasn't there today though.)

So....how big are these $7 hotdogs? Footlongs?

Also, I understand video, but is there an official policy on no photos? Sometimes I like to take a pic of my stack and post on fb for my friends. I do it in other places... but is this (officially) not allowed?

You can walk right inside the food court and get food a regular price, and there's a Starbucks in the mall as well.
