so i guess no more 1:1 comps at zinburger

The only 4-card we got going in the last few months was a 1-1 intro game. It went a few Thursdays (and maybe a Saturday or two) in a row but unless there is a concerted effort to get 4-5 folks to show up and start it, it doesn't happen.

It was a good deal too: $3 rake if I recall!

I'm more than willing to try again tonight - I'll shake up a few of my friends to see if we can post it. (If Mike is willing to spread it again.)

Interestingly, once it was going, there was a good mix of interested newbies trying something new, and well-seasoned 5-card players who just wanted a break from the high-stakes lottery. Mike's "no-straddle" rule helped keep the latter from spoiling it for the former.

i wish there wouldve been a no straddle rule when i was there 1-2 years ago. i got so annoyed at the straddles i lost over $1500 within a week playing $2-2 and got banned for 24 hours when i blew up at a player HU over the fact he could even straddle HU. i shouldve quit instead of playing this shorthanded but i was stuck and didnt want to quit. and the blinds should Never be allowed to straddle but even in 3 handed games they were letting the blinds straddle i heard they might not be doing this no more.

when u play in one of the rooms where the sb doesnt act first in the straddle like 4 of the rooms in vegas are, u dont get nearly as annoyed at others straddling when it dont screw up the position. the wynn the nugget and the redrock do it correctly

we did get the 4 card going one Saturday in January. Someone at the feeder table to the 5 card said how much more they enjoyed 4 card and everyone playing agreed to change the table to 4 card. What happened though was we lost a few players and replacements were on the 5 card list and just playing until a seat opened up there. then a new second 5 card table was opened and several more left the 4 card. We got down to 4 players and gave up. I think 4 card is a better game myself - less chance involved - if it is possible to say that about any form of plo

I've played the 1-1 game on a Thursday night and once on a a weekend afternoon, and have started a list for it a half a dozen other times. Enjoyed it very much.

Sunday's is always good for me, but I'm open to other times to have it off regularly. Can't make it tonight due to a prior commitment.

Is slow rolling just general accepted practice here? I've seen no less than 25 in just 2 months of playing weekends. It could just be an old man thing but sheesh.
