I doubt many here are in the target for an intro level NL game. I have mixed feelings. I don't want to play it and I'd rather have those guys in my 1/2 but if it bring new people into the room it's good.

Intro level PLO would be very interesting. 1/1 or 1/2 with no straddle.

On the bigger end what about a 5/5/ uncapped or 5/5 $1000 or even $1500. Might get some of the 2/5 guys to move up and satisfy the guys who want to play 5/10.

Side note: can you try to balance the room a bit more when using the upstairs? I was up there last night and there were like 4 cash tables and 4 tournament tables. It was super quiet. Kinda too quiet. Downstairs was packed and lively. I guess I shoulda just table changed downstairs but I think that a certain amount of activity in the room drives action and maybe if 3 or 4 of those downstairs games were up it'd be more balanced.

IMHO the quieter the better.

Are the chip counts for the 400 dollar NLHE tournament flights that are going on yesterday and today posted anywhere? I've looked and can't seem to find them online.

Thx,

Played for 1st time since Monday, did they clean or get new chips? They felt different and didn't look as grimey as usual

Thanks. Is there anywhere online that they've posted it? I don't see it on the twitter feed. Hopefully they'll at lease post the final tallies after today's flight finish.

Thx,
Shju2

I'll be in Maryland this Wednesday and thinking about playing the $200 buy in Omaha/8 tournament. How many entries would you expect for this tourney?

Anyone have the final chip count/ table draws for day 2?

I don't see them on Twitter/ I don't actually have Twitter so I can't DM the MDL poker account.

Mike,

On Saturday night, upstairs, near the end of Flight D for the tournament this past weekend, I very clearly overheard one of your floor managers talking with other staff at the brush stand stating quite clearly (and loudly, I was at 30), that (their) official treatment of a player would vary based on his personal feelings for said player. I don't know the person and could not identify him personally, sorry. I'm bad with names anyway.

Specifically in this case, if a player were having trouble staying awake and was falling asleep at the table, how the player would be treated would vary based on whether or not the floor liked him. If he did, he'd wake the guy up. IF he didn't, he'd either (this part I didn't hear clearly) blind the guy out while asleep or just sit him out. The specifics really don't matter.

As officials who are tasked with judging situations and treating players fairly, I find it highly troubling that any of your staff would consider it OK to vary their judgment based on personal feelings. Personal feelings have no place in any situation where a judgment is called for in an official capacity - no matter how trivial the matter.

I hope that you will take steps to redress this situation with your staff and make it clear to all that judgment should be fair, and impartial.

Thank you. It will be addressed

Since cash game volume has diminished with the other place opening up...any plans to introduce Friday night // Saturday night tournaments to fill up the unused capacity?

Mike, is there anything you can do about the website? Without over exaggerating it's seriously one of the worst web sites I've ever seen for a large poker room. The calendars are atrocious and for some reason mixed with the general casino promotions that have nothing to do with poker.

Even if you sort out the other casino nonsense and set it to view only poker related promos and tournaments, the navigation is terrible. Not to mention that the intro is super cringy.

A couple of thoughts:

1) I would expect that the players willing to play this game would be the most willing to want to have the opportunity to hit a jackpot.

2) This isn't really poker, imo. I doubt that players are really going to be able to improve their skills by playing in this game, giving them the opportunity to build a roll and move up in stakes.

3) How about 1/1 with a $50-$150 min/max, and maybe raise the cap on the 1/2, or change the 1/2 to a 1/3 with a higher cap, say to $400 or $500?

Let you know how it progresses

Just my two cents.

Thanks,

Raising the cap on 1/2 would be awesome, or at least leave it at 300 with option to match biggest stack at the table.

not related to my opinion on what format the 1/1 should be, changing the 1/2 buyin rules seems like a good way to even further reduce 2/5 traffic in the room (and in the case of matching biggest stack, increase predatory/bumhunting table changes)

Mike,
From what I have read and heard from others, you have always been above board, but apparently your owner is a complete douchebag in that he obviously places no priority on taking down any reference to the PPC on your website. On the first page after selecting "poker" no less.
Ah yes but at least he has pics of himself and his wife? (really!?!?! who the hell does that) on the chips so we will recocognize his pic when he goes to jail for collaborating with the PPC scammers.

I appreciate you pointing out something our poker and marketing departments missed. We'll get it removed ASAP

Thanks for the headsup

2/2 still seems healthy at least on the weekends; at least 2, sometimes 3 tables. Definitely lots of action too (no real need to raise the buyin there in my estimation.) Was a fun game last weekend for the most part, everyone friendly.
