They do?

Yeah there's a hole. I got there about 10 of 7 yesterday and got right on a table. About 7:05 there were 15 on the list and a new table opened. It's a bit odd. In some ways I wish they'd come up with a standard sort of high hand thing so we'd know what was going on from month to month.

I expect next months promos will be "special" though.

Have you noticed? Parking lot has installed tons of ceiling cameras that watch every parking space. Not sure if up and running yet, but looks like a major capital investment in our safety.

Earlier ITT it was pointed out that this is a system to help people find empty spaces, not security.

There are colored indicators between the elevator banks on 5 now.

It looks like the system in place does parking assist but also has integrated surveillance cameras and license plate recognition as well. Every spot can be video recorded when motion is detected. Definitely makes the lot safer but will certainly not sit well with everyone.

Interesting. I don't see that MDL would ever be able to charge for parking given their location with the mall so I'd guess that the primary driver for installing the system was convenience and safety. I expect traffic/parking around MGM to be a giant mess and I'd be shocked if they don't charge for parking which wil be a little nudge for me to continue playing primarily at MDL.

On a similar note... has anyone ever had an issue where the touchscreen on their iPhone just kind of stops working while plugged in to the USB ports built in to the tables? I've noticed it a handful of times over the past few years and I can't come up with an explanation for it. I end up having to unplug my phone to send a text or whatever.
Should be up sometime tomorrow. Redid wifi for entire casino. Fingers are crossed that it's an improvement

Much appreciated. Thank you. We enjoyed having you

Planning my first visit Saturday. A few questions:

Do I need a player card and can I get one in the poker room?

Odds there will be an 8-16 limit game? Is it kill or half?

How about a mixed game with limits between 5-10 and 10-20?

My wife will play 4-8. Is it kill or half?

Anybody make a guess at how many players for the 11 AM tourney, and what percentage of players get paid?

Oh and what's the WiFi password, if it is working?

Thanks!

Players card is encouraged, but only required if you plan to play the tournament(s). Yes, you can get one in the poker room itself.

Saturday's MTT is $150 buy-in w/ $50 bounties. Expect 220 plrs +/- 50. ($15K gtd prize pool)
Pays top 10%.

Featured limit hold 'me game is $4/$8 w/ no kill. On a Saturday we'll spread anything that the masses request, but $20/$40 and higher seem most common... All the way up to $75/$100 LHE.

$6/$12 Mixed game will be offered. It's usually HORSE w/out the Hold 'Em, sometimes just OE.

Good luck this weekend, I'm sure you and your wife will enjoy.

Sorry Mike but whoever wrote the intro to the poker page on the casino website did a really poor job. Can't help but cringe when I read about how players will have a chance to catch a glimpse of Christian harder..

Quick question: Does playing in a tournament get you the same poker hour comps as a cash game? That is to say: If you last for 4 hrs, do you get 4 hrs of comps or is it based on the entry fee?

Thanks

I believe it's 0.50/hour, regardless of VIP level.

Completely based on entry fee, if anything. I'd be surprised if they offer any comps on entry fee's, unless you build up a certain threshold.
