(a) The remaining community cards are dealt to the board, burning a card before each up card.

Each player shall form a hand from the community cards, and the winner of the pot shall be:

(a) The player with the highest ranking hand formed using the first set of community cards shall receive half of the pot; and
(b) The player with the highest ranking hand formed using the second set of community cards shall receive half of the pot.

Thanks for everyone's patience. Although not critical, I know this was important for the poker eco system in the bigger games.

Thanks

There might be some wiggle room here. The guidelines do not explicitly say you cant run the flop twice. Just that the turn and or river will be run twice including.....the flop when players are all in pre?

Is this run-it-twice thing, applicable for 2/5 or only from 5/10 and upward?

Thanks

Anybody know what games were in the 10/25 mix last night I saw on bravo? Might have to make it down next weekend if this runs regularly.

No

This is the regulation as given to us by the Lottery, which isn't much different than we did before. The decision to do it in time games only, is our decision. The Lottery simply wrote the regulations. We can apply them to the games we choose

Thanks

Mike
You could implement running twice at jackpot eligible games, and just say that only the first run is jackpot eligible. I recognize that may not be what is affecting the decision, just a thought.

Allowing it in a rake game costs money, allowing it in a time game costs nothing. Also, pots are bigger in time games.

We already have guys taking 15 sec to contemplate a $12 flop bet in 1/2. We don't need anything to slow the game down more.

This. As much as id like to run it 2x to cut down on the crazy variance at 1/2, it would only slow up and make things more complicated for some. Some players dont even know what a chop is on the blinds. Plus, like another poster said, its not worth it business wise.

Re: Maryland Live! (Arundel Mills Mall; Hanover, MD) -– FAQ in OP, added 2014.02.02

Today I parked on the 4th floor. As I was walking to the elevators, I noticed something I hadn't seen before - but maybe it was there and I just didn't notice. There are now overhead cameras pointing at the parking spots. There is a camera almost every other parking spot. I looked down the aisles and it looks like that same coverage is used for the entire floor. I didn't check the other floors, just where I was parked, but if it isn't there yet, I'd guess it is coming.

I've seen people (not recently) in this threat complain about security in the parking lots. It appears that ML has stepped up and done a fine job addressing that issue.

Wonder if it's gotten to the 5th floor yet? I was the recipient of some religious proselytization material under my windshield wiper Saturday.

Don't anyone treat this as a formal complaint, but an observation of what seemed possible. Draw your own inferences from this observation.

Every other spot? That seems like...a lot of cameras.

Definitely cameras and not pieces of a parking guidance system of some kind? Because the overhead sensors, depending on the system, can also look like cameras. But good on them though if they've put that many cameras in!

Re: Maryland Live! (Arundel Mills Mall; Hanover, MD) -– FAQ in OP, added 2014.02.02

The $2016 top 4 high hands is my favorite flavor. Now if I could just win one.

I have about 400 hours this year - I'd guess roughly 80% during a hand hand promo - and I've yet to win one. Feels like even if I take $500 I'll still be down on the year for promo dollars dropped.

Didn't notice the cameras in the parking garage. If it's every other spot though it's more likely that they're just detectors for open spots.

Anyone know if the 1 entrance/ramp is going to be permanently closed? I can't tell if it's temporary during hotel construction or if the hotel is going to block off that entrance for good.

I can't say they are definitely security cameras. Maybe they are a parking guidance system, but I think a video security system makes more sense. All I know is that there are a very large number of them, they are attached to a rail hanging from the ceiling down the middle of every aisle, and they have some sort of lens pointing at the parking spots.

I would bet on parking management system. If it's security, that is such an inefficient system and overly costly. But I wouldn't be surprised.

I agree, that is one of the better promotions. But if you are going to win one, and I hope you do, I'd suggest waiting a month. I haven't heard anything, but I'm hopeful that the December promotions will be quite a bit more than we are used to, in order for ML to have an advantage over a new competitor in the area.

Yeah i get why they wouldnt do it. Would be nice maybe for 2/5 or pots ~>$500 or something, but yeah i can see someone at 1/2 debating over it, but id take the occassional slowdown to reduce variance in the real big pots.

Again, you're more than welcome to fire up a $5/$5 NL if you want the option to run it twice. I think it's $300 min, $1K max.

9-handed

$7 time

No jackpot

Lack of jackpot honestly makes it less attractive to recreational players. Lack of recreational players makes it less attractive to all others.

Yeah haven't looked yet but BWI's parking garage has similar and it is a parking management system, the system will direct incoming traffic to open spots.

PSU-you prob drop like 4 an hour in jackpot drop so for 400hrs played you would need like 1600 back. The freeroll was worth like 125 a ticket so you prob got some back there

Pure speculation but I'd think another hours free roll would be more likely than an amped up high hand.

Was speculating with a dealer - again this isn't even a rumor - but what I'd do is a $1 million freeroll where the qualifier is hours in a month and do 3 months of qualifier. Like 1 entry at 25 hours another at 50, max of 6 entries if you get 2 each month. Would fill the room for a longer period of time and a million dollar freeroll would be attention grabbing in a way that $2k high hands isn't.

I was out of town the beginning of August so by the time I got my free roll hours I was a later alternate. My 2 tickets were worth I think a combined 20 minutes of play. But it was an excuse to take a day off work and play poker all day so there's that "benefit"
