Yeah you're right. The winning move was clearly to get her number.

On a completely unrelated note ....

Anyone know how to see how many poker hours I have on my card for the year? Trying to see if I can make platinum or not.

Swipe at the bravo kiosk just outside the poker room and choose promotional status.

Psu, use the swipe machine outside the poker room or check with the front desk.

Thanks guys I'll do that. I actually wondered if it was on there and forgot to try it last time I was there. I was a little surprised to see that it's not listed on the online rewards site.

Add table 23 to the list too. The outside of the rail between 1 & 2 is busted with the foam coming out now and the whole top is not far behind.

They can probably borrow some duct tape from Horseshoe.

Mike is there anyway we can have on demand single table satellites to some of the bigger tourneys? For example the 400$ tomorrow only has 1 satellite today at 12pm which is during usual work hours. Maybe have a wait list and when it reaches 10 we have it going?

So this may be completely daft but what would people say to running tables 9 handed during weekdays and other slow times? The downside is it'd be easier for a table to get so short it breaks. The upside for the players - a bit more space around the table and a few more hands per hour. Upside for the casino more tables = more rake though it'd be pretty easy/common for a table to get to reduced rake.

Id love all 9 handed tables. But i know there are people who immediately complain and look to break when a table is 7handed so I doubt this would gain much steam

I don't see people want to break at 7 but 6 gets grumbles and 5 usually doesn't last. I think at 9 max they'd have to be slower to open tables so there'd be a list to fill existing tables.

My other most requested would be a dinner list. Add a dinner list and say after 20 minutes you'll be picked up and you have a lot less walkers.

Not having a dinner list is crazy. It should have been implemented long ago.

How does a dinner list work? Because if it's 20 minutes, it's not enough to eat dinner.

You leave the table (chips and all) and are put at the top of the list (deactivated, like a call-in). You have some time (usually 2 hours) to come back and re-activate yourself. It's similar to a call in. What Rapini is saying is implement a dinner list, and once you do, only allow players to be away from the table 20-30 mins before being picked up. This eliminates players absent >30 mins tying up a seat.

edit: Lattimer's explanation is better

Personally given the stack rules when table changing here, not sure what I prefer. I'm guessing you won't be allowed to put all 300bb back on the table after dinner even if that's what you broke with.

Yeah it's not a bad suggestion but some times, you might really like your table and not want to be separated from it.

Of course. And that's when you remain seated and play on.

FYI mostly for Mike. I tried to point out a broken chair to a supervisor a couple of weeks ago as Mike had said to do so that they can fix it. Instead, the supervisor was very nice in finding a chair from another table, but then moved my chair to where he got the better chair from and went on to other things. There is no indication that he took note of it anywhere, so I didn't bother to point out that the vacant chair next to me had some significant issues as well. I think both chairs were fixable, but if they get used much more, they won't be.

I think the chairs are starting to show some age and wear. If there isn't a process for fixing them when they are fixable, you will soon need to do a wholesale replacement.

The suits don't care, have reported many chairs and they don't care.

Otoh, I am aware that 2 or 3 test chairs for a replacement model are in use downstairs, so new chairs may be closer than expected

Yeah I'd propose a dinner list and allow you to return with your full stack. At CT it was inside an hour you had to bring back the full stack and between an hou and hour and a half you could go to table min/max or full stack.

Given that MDL uses table min/max for voluntary table changes I think they could do it like a broken table rules and say either full stack or between min/max at the player's choice.

Having a dinner list would let them drop the time away before being picked up to something more reasonable like 20 minutes. Enough to smoke and grab food from Luk Fu but if you want to sit at the buffet for an hour use the dinner list.

Love your table so much you don't want to move? Eat at the table or be quick about it.

I don't like eating at the table. Your hands get greasy and there's no napkin that will take it off before handling cards. There's a mess around you. Napkins, forks, bags. You have to sit awkwardly. While you eat and you re distracted, you give out tells on the strength of your holdings.

I d rather go to the restaurant and eat properly. But you can't do it on most restaurants at MD live in 20 minutes. It's 30 minutes at best.

I would like to add that perhaps a solution for eating at the table are sandwiches which were invented after all by a gambling English aristocrat so that he could eat while he was playing. You can get those from morty's but they are really unmanageable. Perhaps it's time to fix the menu at the bar which really is subpar and universally panned by players.

High limit bar has sandwiches and sliders that come from prime rib kitchen. Pretty good option for eating at the table.
