For "ticket" read "entry". The time period is I believe all August. So play 25 hours you can enter one of the starting flights. Play 40 you can enter 2.

Structure will likely be super fast

Played this morning/afternoon on a table with new "felt".

It is a weird surface - it is similar to the synthetic stretch fabric that furniture covers and yoga pants are made of.

The promotional flier available in the room says the 6 flights will occur from Tuesday, Sept 6 through Sunday, Sept 11.

I guess that means if, for example, you play between 40 and 59 hours, you get 2 tickets so you can pick 2 of the flights to play in.

The tournaments are going to be packed on that Saturday and Sunday.

Would anyone be interested in a fantasy football league between Live regs? Was thinking 10-12 teams, $500 buyin, and have a live draft either at Live if they let us or somewhere at the mall if not? Obviously this is just to gaugue interest. Details can be hashed out once we get people commited.

MOD NOTE: Please respond via PM if interested. Thanks.

I just want to say that this promo email about the 250k freeroll tourney is comically confusing.

So I think ive figured it out, so im going to explain it in the hopes that its right. The tournament will have 6 flights (which...admittedly part of the issue here is i had never heard the term "flight" before wrt poker, but for those who dont know, that is an opening day of a tournament), and players can play in anywhere from 1-6 of them.

so the tournament structure will basically be
day: 1A -> 1B -> 1C -> 1D -> 1E -> 1F -> 2

After the six opening days, any player who is still alive will play in day 2, if you survive in more than one of the days, typically you keep your highest stack, you dont get both stacks combined, and then the final day (day 2) will determine the payouts (I dont think the payouts have been shown yet, but its 250,000 combined prizes i guess and something about WPT maryland and aruba i guess???).

I think the "if you make day 2 you get $250 per flight" means you will receive $250 for any entry of yours which makes it to day 2.

As I understand it, the min cash in the tournament is $250 and starts at day 2. So if you ran super good and survived ALL six day 1's, you would receive $1250 + the tourney payout.

The top 48 places recieve tournament tickets to other tournaments as part of the prize pool.

The day1 flights run sept. 6-11th, and registration for them opens August 15th. Each flight might be capped at 200 entrants. The qualifying hours must be played at BBJ eligible tables.

There are some laminated FAQs about it at tournament registration booth.

This is fairly accurate except no Aruba prizes

This is accurate. We can't determine prize money until we know how many advance to Day 2. The complete prize pool will be posted at the start of Day 2.

I'm impressed it's corn tortillas. Unless these things are bite-size and need 3 to resemble a meal, these prices are very reasonable.

Menu post above says that it opens 8/1 so if that's accurate you're a little early.
