Hmm,

I swear I looked @ Johnny's post earlier and it was quoting me, not somebody else.

Anyhow, looking forward to the limit tournament...hope we get a good turnout.

What's is the betting structure of the 2-2 or 5-5 5 card O8 (big O) games?

Will likely make it back out again this week while in town.

Pot limit for 2-2 or 5-5. Fixed limit for 4-8, 6-12, 10-20.

Ugh. Played in an abortion of a 4-8 big O8. I lasted about a down. Two players in particular would not SHUT UP nor would they act on time. Could be a really fun game. Why does Omaha draw the cranks?

I was upstairs and waited a half-hour to avoid the table right next to that Big O game.

The 6-12 OE game sometimes plays the Omaha with 5 cards. It is usually more pleasant experience than the 4 8 O8 experience.

I played some poker on Tuesday and heard that the promos for May will be the return of the hourly $2016 high hand bonus split between the top 4 hands, and this is for Tues/Wed/Thurs. The person who told me confirmed it with the desk, but this is just what I heard, so I don't know if this is accurate or complete (nothing for Sunday?). Treat this as a rumor until confirmed by a post from Mike or you see the signs hanging in the room.

it's the limit drawing the cranks.

your average plo game is way friendlier than your average nlhe game.

I was scoping players on The Hendon Mob (GPI) and I see that MDL reports daily tournament results to GPI.
At first I was like 'are you kidding me' then I was like 'well maybe that's cool. I can get my GPI up on the cheap'

1) I have cashed in Daily tournaments at MDL, but I don't have any MDL Daily results on GPI. Is it Random what Daily Tournament gets reported or what is the deal? If I cash do I need to tell the Floor that I want it reported to GPI??
2) Most Casino's don't report normal Daily tournament results to GPI - just the special "Event" Tourneys. How does everyone feel about this?

To list a just a few that I found @ Hendon Mob:
$ 150 + 15 No Limit Hold'em - Bounty
2016 Maryland Live! Casino Recurring Tournaments, Hanover

$ 120 + 16 No Limit Hold'em - Triple Stack
2016 Maryland Live! Casino Recurring Tournaments, Hanover

$ 100 No Limit Hold'em PM
2016 Maryland Live! Casino Recurring Tournaments, Hanover

Had a much better time today on my 3 day visit to Baltimore and Live!

Our table hit a royal plus two other high hands in a little over an hour. About $2K in bonuses total. Sadly I only get the $100 Royal table share but I didn't know about it so it was a nice surprise. Sure draws the fish in. Needed the bonus to turn a small loss today into a small profit (as the fish were hitting).

Still +320 for the week over about 11 hours of 4/8. Again a well run room. Players friendly other than that Big O game.

You know, some of us value our privacy. I googled my name and sure enough the first few hits are from poker databases.

Seriously, MDL, this isn't cool at all.

It's not the fact that you give out tournament results. It's that no one let us know about it.

Come on man it's 2016 and tournament results getting reported is standard operating procedure for the most well run poker rooms.

Have never played at ML, but will be in the area tomorrow at about 6PM and thinking of stopping in for a couple of hours in early evening.

Couple of questions on what I see on Bravo:

What are the structures and format of the 5-5 Big O 8 and the 5-5 Mixed Game? Are both limit games, pot limit, or no limit?

Thanks!

Yes it is standard and one of the reasons I no longer play tournaments. It's not the public's business how well or poorly I do.

Both pot limit. When it's mix, it's plo8 and pot limit stud/8. Usually only goes on Mondays or Saturdays (can't remember which, but it's one or the other or both). Game plays big.

I suggest contacting the organization and asking you be removed from these lists for reasons of privacy.

Good luck with that. There isn't really a process for getting removed from Hendon Mob.

I was aware that this is a possibility and this why when I played in a series MTT last year, i explicitly asked for my name to be removed. To their credit, they did without a problem.

I was not aware that daily or unique casino tournaments were reported. Actually, I think I did ask and they told me they weren't. I could be wrong however.

Come to think about it, they must have started doing it recently, because I had some cashes last year and they are not on the internets.

Either way, there's no sense arguing over spilled milk, but now I have to rely on the benevolence of third party sites...

Is it really standard for casino to report daily tournaments? Baltimore Horseshoe does not. In fact I do not know of any other Casino other then MDL that reports std daily tourney results.

Don't get me wrong. I think MDL is great for reporting the results to GPI. And now that I know they do this I am sure it will come into my decision making (MDL or Horseshoe) on where to play tourneys.

Are survivor Tournament Results reported to GPI?
My only cashes at MDL have all been in survivors - maybe that is why I do not see results at GPI, but I see all the other small daily tourneys reported.

This is poor information. I don't know of another room who reports results of their daily tournaments. I do know of the 7 which I play throughout my travels who do NOT report daily results.

Which other rooms do you know of that report their daily tournament results?

What is the fear of those who do not wish their results to be reported? Other than the overall "I did not give permission" privacy issue.

Most of the players that play our tournaments want their wins reported. Anyone that does not, only has to ask. We are more than willing to accommodate. It's that simple. we will still require you to swipe in with your pc. That's for yours and our protection.

Thanks

Mike

Not a lawyer but as far as I know there is no reasonable legal "expectation of privacy" when you play a public tournament in a public venue.
