I know better than to argue with someone who uses haunt as a collective noun. I know when I'm outclassed.

Haha good stuff

I don't think it is the degenerates that are complaining about it though...

Isn't it possible we ordered it 6 weeks ago and there's a problem getting it in? And then we reordered it 3 weeks ago and it still hasn't shown.

Entirely possible. Thanks for letting us know that at least you're trying on your end. And when the regs are complaining about the courtesy hand sanitizers being empty and nothing else, you know you're running a good room

Why run a tournament like this on a Saturday when the room is already busy and inconvenience many of your regular customers? Maybe up the buy in to limit the field or hold it outside of primetime? Maybe a ballroom or something else could be utilized for this?

Also -- any chance a chip runner could be sent over to the cashier line to buy people in if the line is very long and there is one cashier? Could be a good customer service option for the times the cage can't be properly staffed (and realize staffing is out of the rooms control).

Yes +1.

Couldn't be that hard to just stick a large hand sanitizer bottle at the registration desks or something though?

I've never taken opportunity to thank Mike for the work he has done so will do so now. Thank you very much for the work you have done for poker at Maryland Live!...!!!

Good question. It's built up so big, we'll be moving it to Sundays starting in March.

Most casino operators, and we are one of them, do not allow their employees to jump a line of guests. We are fortunate enough, that we are allowed to get in the line. I've worked places with management that wanted employees to wait until there were no guests in line.

Costco is only a block away.
heck, walmart is only a little further.

and if you're spending all your time in trying to obtain hand sanitizer, then you're the envy of other poker room managers

I was recently at Maryland Live for a few days and just wanted to say the dealers there are great, especially at PLO.

The worst dealer there would probably be in the top 30-40% at the borgata.

I was planning on making a post about the hand sanitizers so I guess this is as good of a time as any. It has been weeks and they have been empty. The poker room is by leaps and bounds the dirtiest place I spend some of my time at. The public restrooms at my college campus are way less disgusting. At this point I am really starting to get upset about it. My hands feel warm and fuzzy when I'm done playing because of all the nasty stuck to them from the cards and chips. Not keeping three or four cheap sanitizers filled, like they removed the empty bags and said screw it... is just plain disrespectful. It really just boggles my mind. I don't know what else to say.
Let's be fair about the cleanliness issue. What other casino have you been to that hand-vacuums every table that breaks, as Live does??

wow.. never seen that.
every time I see a dealer at an empty table, all s/he does is just sit there.

and does that mean that tables that never break (ie: plo main table) never gets cleaned?

Mike,

Is it too early to ask about March High Hand promotions?

With PNA in town will it affect the promo's for the cash games?

Hello everyone!

I am planning a week long trip to Maryland live and have a few questions. I tried looking back through this thread but there so much content and really couldn't find anything useful. So I'll keep the questions short and sweet.

1. Hotel recommdation (close and safety is key. I don't care about cost)
2. 5/10 games still juicy?

Thanks!

When a game breaks the dealers use dust busters to vacuum the felt. And the PLO main game does break sometimes.

Pretty much any hotel near the casino works, just find the cheapest one IMO they all are major brands
2. Take a trip up and see, the games go daily
