Win up to $2016.
Top 4 hands per hour win.
Four highest qualifying hands for the hour (As-full) split the amount ($504 each). So, your sweat is only if you are the 4th highest with time left on the clock.

If only 1 qualifies, they get the whole $2016. And so on...

Is a royal #1 of 4 or do you get the lot and it resets?

Just asking out of curiosity really, I don't play Tuesdays or Thursdays.

A royal is just one of the four, no resets

Maybe I'm losing my mind. All I remember is many tables not in use. Or was that two years ago...

It's possible that my memory isn't entirely accurate but I recollect a damn zoo.

I won a satellite ticket into the PNIA Main Event last night. While not internet illiterate, I can't seem to find the dates of the actual event on the MDLive website. Can someone point me in the right direction? All I've found is the final table is on March 14th. Can't seem to locate info on how many flights and when it's set to start, etc...

I was playing 2-5 yesterday (tried three different tables and the games have gotten significantly tighter and tougher....it was a waste of time watching professionals trade chips in small pots) and this happened:

At my last table of the day, I bluffed the river with a bet of $40. My opponent threw out a single red chip for a call. I tabled my hand and he could beat it so he was pushed the pot, including my $40 bet. We move on to the next hand, and a kid sitting next to my opponent points out that when my opponent called, he had only $5 remaining, yet he received my entire bet of $40. The dealer didn't notice and my opponent did not speak up when he was being pushed the pot, which is super shady. I got a rebate of $35.

Yes it is my responsibility to know how many chips each opponent has, but in this case I simply couldn't see because of all the arms between him and myself, and I didn't stop to ask the guy how much he had. Obviously if I knew he had only $5, I wouldn't have bet at all, but that does not really matter.

My question is, should I have called the floor on my opponent for accepting my entire $40 bet when he damn well should have known that he was not entitled to the whole thing? If so, what would the floor have done? Would they throw him out for the day?

Thanks for any replies.

I have seen this behavior in almost every cardroom I have played at. It is unusual for another player to speak up about this mistake.

You got your $35 back. Next time pay more attention to the villain's stack and the pot.

Next time wait until your opponent puts in a full call, not just one chip.

Especially when it is only $40 to call.

Seems like it was probably 3 simultaneous mistakes. You didn't see how much he had left, dealer didn't either, villain assumed dealer gave him the correct amount.

Take this as a free lesson, you got your money back. I've paid way more than $0 for poker lessons at the table.

I don't know what "a full call" means but one chip or any amount of chips pushed forward is considered a call. The next action is for the aggressor to table his hand as he did in this case.

Call floor, ask for surveillance/cameras, most places will make it right. gl gl

It seems like every other day I see a player move away from the big blind (multiple seats) and the dealer doesn't make them post. Is this not a rule at Live?

I don't have nearly the number of hours in this room as many of you guys, but in my experience, the dealers have always had the player to wait until the blinds pass before moving seats.

I'd say they're pretty lax about it, as long as it doesn't seem to be an angle shot or you're moving a lot. It benefits me, because I change seats pretty regularly, so I don't question it.

They're seeing extra hands without paying the blinds. I wouldn't call it an angle shoot or say it's a big deal, but it still needs to be enforced 100% of the time.

Maybe this is selfish, but that doesn't sound good for the game. The rule that you can wait for your bb to pass and get free hands when you first sit exists, and that makes less sense than this. If someone wants to get out of the one or ten seat, and the dealer says, okay post a bb, does that ever result in players just not taking those seats or leaving instead. If the answer is even 5% I think it's probably better just to remain lax on this rule. If this rule exists.

Or if they think it's an unlucky seat, that's even better.

Depends hm seats you're moving away from the bb. If there's only 1 player between you and the empty seat or it's the seat right next to you I don't think you have to post. Might even allow more than that without posting I'm not certain.
