They made the guarantee by $290K. Last year they made it by $1M
Their $1M and $2M guaranteeds both had small overlays this year.

And remember that is the Borgata, with the facilities and track record and timing (3 weeks after the last WPT in L.A. vs one week and both East Coast).

Mike,

How many levels will be played on day 1 of the $7,500? It doesn't say on the structure sheet. It does say that levels on day two will be 15 minutes longer than day one...So the fewer levels on day one the better, IMO. Nine 40 minute levels would have the day end shortly before midnight and give players plenty of turnaround time to get back for day two at 1pm.

If you have a high stack of chips and plan to go for an hour dinner you can ask the floor to give you a hard plastic cover to cover your chips. Many players have done it at the 5/5/10 PLO so their friends can play over their seats to reduce the wait time. It's not just a plastic cover, is a big clear hard plastic cover more like 10x10 inches.

One more thing I'd like to add about playing over. A player who plays over put their chips on top of the plastic cover because this thing is big and you just don't have enough space to put your chips. The only danger here is if the new player sat down and got so excited and later forgot that he thinks those are his chips and play with it. That would be a disaster......

Are there cash drawings this upcoming Sunday or are they finished for September?

No more drawings this month

In speaking with Matt, we plan to play to the FT or the money, whichever is first.

Thanks

Per MDL web site, high hands are back for October, $500/20 minutes Mon-Thur 11 am-3 am.

I for one who was in favor of Flop Bonus over High Hands, am reversing my decision. The last flop promotion was ridiculously bad for me as well as to the buzz in the room.

Hope we have only high hands going forward.

Do you have a payout table that I could look at? Are you paying out to 15 (preferred) or 10%? Playing 9 or 8 (preferred) handed?

Wouldn't the money always be first? Or is possible to get to the FT without being in the money?

Depends on the number of entrants. If only 60 enter, you aren't going to pay 10 places.

If there are less than 80 runners FT could definitely come first. At a non-Main $7,500 buy-in it is certainly possible

Mike smith, are you going to run single table satellites to the main event? If so when?

The main event starts tomorrow, I wonder how many tables will be used up and do you have to get there early for the cash games?

We expect to use the standard WPT payout table and yes we'll play 8 handed.

Please reconsider this depending on your table availability. At a $400 entry winner takes all might interest a lot of people.

Event 1 of WPT was run and received well. 427 entries with 25 remaining for Day 2. FTW would get 25K. Yours truly is one among them!

Also, why is the State Gaming against Live TV for this Event. It would create a lot of interest and might drive more business for the property.

I heard from a dealer last week that the issue is that the state gaming commission does not approve of the WPT table design where players place their cards face down on the glass surface with a camera underneath.

RMF, but, these days it is done thru RFID technology.

I understand the concern about security and all, but, this is being done at other venues (in other states) without any issues.

You should talk to Gaming about it.

Do you really think that's the sort of thing gaming listens to? By all means ask, but if you think their approach is anything like that rational, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed.

46 on the 1/2 list and 61 for 2/5 right now. Guess the wpt is really cutting down number of available cash game tables.

Getting out of the office in dc soon. Think i should drive on by to the shoe?

Think it will remain a zoo at MDL all night?
