Cruisingcat and blackbeardnc were dead on with their recommendations of Timbucktu's crab cakes. They were big, VERY good, lots of lumps in the cakes (not jumbo lumps but good nonetheless), price was fair for quality of product (18 for one big one, 28 for two) and the place is 2-3 miles max from casino. Recommend ordering them broiled.

Going back tomorrow.

Wow. Nice.

My knowledge regarding bad beat jackpot is limited but I always wondered, what if you stepped away from table (say to go get dinner) and table hits bbj. Do you get paid a share of the 3100?

Does this rule vary casino to casino?

Thanks

You would have a short time. If you leave just after you paid the small blind, you would have an entire orbit until you were the big blind to take part in the bad beat. As soon as you receive a missed blind button, you are no longer eligible. This works with any jackpot. So if you really think its worth it, always pay your blinds before leaving and you will have that much more opportunity.

Statistically I think you will pay far more in blinds than you would ever cash as the table share of any jackpot.

Not accurate at MDL.

As noted above you as long as you haven't missed the BB you are eligible for a table share.

You CAN miss the small blind however.

Mike are there gonna be any October promotions?!

Also has a decision been made on using comps for Cheesecake Factory and or Bobby's?

Played Friday night and heard of a car promotion in October but nothing on their site-anyone heard anything like this?

Only October promotion that I've heard of from the dealers is a Friday random seat drawing. The random seat gets 500 bucks and everyone at the table gets 50

I heard it Thurs night but it was solely player chatter, nothing official. Details varied but all versions sounded too good to be true, so it probably isn't.

We are hopeful to have something in place for Cheesecake in the next week or so. Bobby's probably won't happen

In October:

The current Sunday Drawings will change to $1250 at 5p-6p-7p-8p-9p with $750 rolling over if the 1st player isn't there. All cash will be given away at 9pm. At 10pm we will be giving away a 2014 Mercedes Sedan.

You earn tickets all week by playing in JP eligible games

$1,000 High Hands Monday to Thursday hourly Noon to 10pm

$300 High Hands hourly 2am to 9am every day

Lucky Table Drawings on Fridays every hour 10am to 10pm The Lucky Seat wins $500. The other players eligible win $50

Thanks

Mike

Is there a way to find how many entries a player has into the Sunday drawings?

Also will players have an option to take cash instead of the Mercedes?

What did you do Sunday? Won a Mercedes paying 4-8 limit! I don't think you can say that about many poker room promotions. Way to go!

Am I reading that correctly.... is it one drawing for a car or one every Sunday?

That can't be right!?!?!

I too did not understand, but I just confirmed it is a car every week with a floor a couple hours ago.

Yup, that comports with what I heard.

Mike, why move away from "spreading the jackpot money around?" This seems pretty concentrated.

Now you know where that 75% of the $1 Bad Beat Jackpot is going. Maryland Live was putting away a tremendous amount of money to be used when they had competition. Wonder what they are going to do when National Harbor opens up?

check your promotion status using the sign up kiosk just outside of the room. Number of hours that week equals your number of entries.

I knew they were going to unload a lot of jackpot money once Horseshoe opened and they seem to be finding creative ways to do so. It's clearly working for them too. Well done Mike and crew. The room will be unreal on Sundays.

I'm almost exclusively a PLO player but will have to spend some time playing hold em this month for the Mercedes promotion.

Do they count hours that you've played the prior 6 days and consider those as how many entries you have for that upcoming Sunday? Do the entries you have each week reset after the drawing or do they accumulate and carry over to the next drawing?

If I play 20 hours from 9/30-10/04, I'll have 20 drawings? Assuming I don't win the drawing and I don't play anymore until 10/12, will I still have 20 drawings for the 10/12 drawing?
Quote

yea, curious to know if the hours from the sunday you're playing count for that day's drawings or the following week's. seems it would be for the following, but would just like to confirm.
