These kinds of events/giveaways are based on your play for a given period of time.

I am also underwhelmed by the choices i have for my comp dollars. I dont drink amd i dont like asian, so the only option is a couple of good meals at prime rib or the mediocre buffet. Things would be much better if i could use those comps at cheesecake factory or bobbys place. Any developments on that front?

Last but not least i ve got something like $35 i can use for slot play. I ve never played slots. What would be my best ev+ option and what kind of cash i should expect to get back?
I play deuces wild on the machines closer to Phillips.

You can expect a return of 75-80%. I usually cash out when I hit a hand and never reinvest. As you know the promo dollars cannot be cashed, but, the winnings can be cashed out. So, every time you hit a hand cash out rinse and repeat.

Always play max bet and if you hit one of the top 4 hands the winning percentage really goes up.

Good luck in multiplying your free slot dollars.

Any Northern Virginia poker players reading this thread? Especially in the Fredericksburg, Spotsy, Stafford, and Dale City areas. I'm up at the MD casino's 2 or 3 days a week and am looking for other players to carpool, share gas cost, and potentially hotel room cost with. I'm a considerate and respectful guy tired of wasting so much on travel and hotel cost.

During the NFL season I'll be heading up Saturday nights (9pm or later) and staying up for a couple days a week. I'm also up for short trips other days (3-7 hr sessions when traffic isn't bad). I'm actually headed up tonight(Tues) 9:30-10:30pm if anyone is also going up.

The hotel thing specifically can also apply to traveling to the area from other areas like PA. Very aware of and prepared for the possibility of someone trying to run a hustle or mugging with this, so keep that in mind. I'm open to whatever eliminates/decreases that possibility. Let me know, PM's or whatever is the proper etiquette. We should be helping each other save all the $ we can. Also, where else should I post about this on the forum other than horseshoe? thx

no answer
Its simple. Go ask at a floor stand, when they arent busy.

Or you can follow your progress online, but you need to give them your email and set up a password i think.

Last but not least, thank you guys for the suggestions you provided ke with.

That's not been my experience. They seem a lot looser than the ones in WV. I usually play Jacks or Better on the ones over by Philips and while I haven't counted, but am around 80% return I estimate. I think the probabilities on Jacks or Better have less variance than the other wildcard games.

Video poker payouts are 100% quantifiable - unlike slots. There used to be a $1 3play 8-5 JoB - maybe in the high limit area. IIRC the payout was @ 97%.

lolvariance, I guess. The JoB at the Ram's Head bar, I've hit maybe 5 hands in about $100 worth of comps, nothing better than one full house, a few straights, maybe a flush or 2.

Is there any way to get there and back during an overnight layover at DCA for >$100?

Assuming you mean < $100, I think zip car would work, and uberX might be close. UberX roughly $40 from downtown DC to merriweather post...although traffic/time of day may make it substantially more.

Whoops yeah <100. I fly in at 2200 and back out at 845. I used uberX in dc before, 9/10 would try again. Only downside is they couldn't guarantee a ride back.

When does the comp expiration change from 30 days to 90 days? As the MDL website FAQs still indicate 30 days, is the 90 day expiration printed anywhere official?

Started a couple weeks ago. I'll let the marketing folks know to change the webpage

Happy Anniversary! Thanks for a great year with a very well run poker room.

It's 10:00am - I just checked Bravo to see how many games are going, even though I can't go today.

16 1/2 games, 4 2/5 games, and 3 4/8 limit games.
and
83 on the 1/2 list, 45 on the 2/5 list, 26 on the 4/8 list, and more.

It is going to be a super busy day. Have fun celebrating everyone!

Just got here. Line for the brush is back to table 2. Kiosk FTW.

Having dealers on standby in anticipation of the high traffic should've been obvious. Discouraging to see these wait lists.

Lines 1-2 146 ppl 4-8 56 ppl, no dealers

It is over 180 for 1-2 now. There are only 23 tables live on bravo. I mean there should have been anticipation for a huge traffic today. It is incredibly frustrating to see all these interest for all kind of games, but no dealers.

11:00am lines - 192 for 1/2, 80 for 2/5, 79 for 4/8, with 30 tables open so far.

2 tables running at the Horseshoe right now. So the promotion is working ... sort of.
