Mike,
I was wondering if you could talk with your bosses and try to get on the same page with them about the backpack rule. And allow men to carry smaller bags without getting hassled by anything other than a quick look through the bag.
Your casino probably isn't used to poker players who like to sit and play longer hours without getting up from the table, vs casual gamblers who hop around from slot to slot.
You also spend most of your time not playing when you're at poker table, so it's nice to bring an iPad or book to thumb through when you get the especially slow dealers. I usually just want to pack a hoodie, headphones, iPad, etc. I don't use the stuff half the time, so it's annoying to travel back out to my car to grab things.
