The dealer didn't say much at all. He started to explain, and then another player who wasn't even in the hand butted in to explain, and then the conversation was between myself and the super. I was surprised at the ruling, as accidentally exposed cards happens frequently enough that I thought it would be pretty cut and dry. Wouldn't a rule like this allow a player to show his hole cards to anyone he chooses to, as long as it is an "accident"?

The menu is on plain paper with very a very small font, much of it in Asian languages. I tossed it after I looked at it. Sorry I can't upload.

Hey what's up seat 3...I was going to post that situation here too and see if Mike could chime in...

My money wasn't involved but when then supervisor said she doesn't have to reshow when 2/3 people had already seen the hand I was shocked. There was still significant side pot bets to still occur and that would mean 2 people had more information on the turn and river than seat 3.

Made no sense at all...

I specifically asked a supervisor months ago, if a player exposes his hand in a tournament, does the hand have to be shown to all, and the answer was 'absolutely'.

It appears that TDA rules don't specifically address this issue, but in the TDA directors' forum, a similar question was answered this way:

"If you accidentally expose your cards in a tournament (or cash game), the main concern is that all active players see your exposed cards. Your hand is not dead, unless you fold, and no.... you can not compete for the pot without calling all bets. You will be playing with an open hand and that's not a good way to show a profit in a poker game, is it?"

call the # on the mailer and ask?
I was told by them that we had to pick the destination on the day we pick up the voucher.

WTF?!

guess i'll arrive early, get the info, then come back later that day to decide.

and closest NCL port is NYC. here's the options from that port:
http://www.ncl.com/vacations/new-yor...ort=4294963187

edit:
cruises are up to 7 days?
then then only cruise from nyc that qualifies from NYC is:
7-Day Bermuda, Round-trip New York ?
7-Day Bahamas & Florida, Round-trip New York ?

Afraid to ask after how my other question went over, but is the new casino being built by the stadiums going to have a poker room?

IMO this was a bad ruling, but glad it turned out OK. The All In player should have had to table their hand once shown to others at the table.

BTW player bullies (you know the ones that won't shut up and talk over the dealer and everyone else justifying HOW THEY saw things go down) are a pet peeve of mine. And then the ruling is made and they continue ad nauseum.

I tried the Shrimp Pad Thai, dim sum, and the seafood noodles yesterday and they all great. These are Hong Kong style food and they get a 4 star for taste, presentation, and services. They have a dozen people working in the restaurant and the service is very fast. My orders only took 5 minutes and you can watch them cook while waiting for your food. Yes, they do take comps but is a bit pricey but you get what you paid for. I say is a very nice restaurant and similar layout like the Borgata but is a lot bigger. No carry out for now despite the restaurant was packed last night, I was surprised how fast they cooked the food. However, I am not crazy about the oval shaped noodle bowl because when I order extra noodles, it didn't fit all in a bowl so they have to make it a side order. You guys should give it try and will not be disappointed. After all, where can you get good food and free (comps $)?

I have yet to receive any offer but I can tell you the cruises out of NYC are great. I've been on 30 cruises and many of them with NCL including the one you've mentioned above. Just keep in mind that if you do get a free cruise out of NYC, parking at the NYC cruise port is $ 300 a week and if you add the gas and tolls, it'll run you close to $ 450. Also, gratuity is $ 12 a day per person so free may not be that good. The alternative is to take the Megabus for $ 30 to NYC.

Would be nice to have a short description in English of what these things are!

Will need to google this stuff. But glad to have it as anything is better than Noodles.

If you go there, they have english descriptions in the menu, but it is pretty standard pan-asian food. My wife and I went today and it was fairly tasty and not grossly overpriced.

On another note, how is it possible to have one waitress working the upstairs from noon to 3ish on a Saturday. I know this comes up all the time, but I would think it would be very easy to fix.

You sure they do take out? I was there twice over the weekend and while sitting in front watching them cook, I don't see any take out boxes. Unlike the old Noodles restaurant which is now closed, they package everything right in front of you if you have a take out. I think the take out comes after the grand opening date. If they allowed take out from the restaurant, you should be able to order from the poker room because the rest. is now a lot closer to the poker room.

They did that day. I was in the two seat and the Asian Lady was in the four seat, she called the waitress over and asked for the poker room menu and then asked the waitress if she could order from Luk Fu and the waitress told her no. She then left on a dinner break and came back about 25-30 minutes later with a styrofoam container and she stated it was from Luk Fu, the dealer at the time even asked her what she thought about the food.

I played on Saturday and Sunday and was noticing that felt is really starting to get worn down. It isn't ripping or anything, just looking very dirty in the commonly used places. I'm only guessing, but I'd predict the felt is replaced some time soon.

Yeah, to comicplicate matters even more, when the supervisor came over it was 2 people not even involved in the hand explaining the situation. I admit when he gave the ruling I chimed in but mostly because I was shocked and I was trying to get the 2 guys who saw the cards to admit they saw her cards (they clammed up when the supervisor came)

According to a dealer yesterday, rumor is that they will be replacing the felt before the upcoming Summer Series in July.

Same color? I prefer MDL for a plethora of reasons but always enjoy the tan/green felt at CT since I play red chip games...

Well with all that taken into consideration, I wonder how many people will take advantage of this FREE cruise? Plus I sure you will have to purchase a companion ticket or get stuck with some schleprock roommate.
