and they get $2000 freeplay next year if they maintain black.

also their free cruise anywhere the cruiseline goes (up to 7 days) is in June.
unknown about the free Atlantis Island in the Bahamas.

Yup. Got an extra $1,000 this weekend. The cruise is not for anywhere - that's a chair man benefit only.

I would recommend sending a PM to Mike on here, but it doesn't look like you can. You could try contacting the casino about the glitch, but I'm not too confident that will get you anywhere, especially by phone. It is odd you are still having problems, but I guess it is not surprising at this point considering the way the Casino seems to handle things.

You'll see a turn around in service when Harrah's opens. In addition I'm sure MD Live will take the BBJ monies they're saving up and use your money for promos to retain some customers and draw them back after the initial shine wear off the new place.
I doubted that Harrah's soon opening would put a dent in MDLive's poker room or its service since Harrah's new room only has 27 tables and probably draws the lower income players in the batl. areas as suppose to those who live in the DC metro areas with a much higher income brackets. Casinos located in the lower income areas don't induce action and therefore, unlikely would have any affect at MDLive's poker room. However, MGM opening in 3 + years definitely could have have an impact because not only is a resort but also its locality.

nice.. so you get $1500 total freeplay for being black card.

wonder what the chairs get?

poker room related-
1) the waitlists was only ~5 deep at 7:30pm for most games (except 1/2 NL) yesterday nite?!
it was only 2 deep for 2/2 plo
4 tables of 2/2 PLO at 11pm!

also saw an option at the bravo kiosk for deepstack 2/2 plo ($500-$2000)?!?!
whats the point since we have 5/5 plo $500-$2000?

2) there was a guard at the entrance to the vip room from the poker room.
heard they served crab cakes, duck, AND tiramisu dessert.

looks like they upgraded the mini-buffet

is it worth it for 2days?
they don't pay for airfare, port fees, or taxes.

(altho I dont think port fees apply for Atlantis since you're flying there)

Southwest at BWI goes straight to the bahamas now for like 100 each way and its only a 3 hour flight. I would totally head down for the weekend to hang out!

I don't expect the Harrah's to affect the weekend play. I do expect it to affect to the weekday/weeknight play. Its going to be more convenient for those who work in Baltimore to grab dinner then pop over to Harrah's after work for a few hours of play then head home from there. You're also going to have the players who live north of Baltimore coming home from work in DC/Columbia corridor that are going to see it as easier to stop just off of 95N than make the detour to play over at MD Live.

Chairmen got $500 + $5,000.

The Atlantis trip is an ok value. Airfare is expensive and food packages start at $189 per person + 15% mandatory gratuity iirc. Not all inclusive. They do give you $100/night resort credit which is still $280 per night in food costs with double occupancy.

oh yuck!
would have assumed all inclusive since its a Bahamas resort.

what do you think about the NCL cruises? (you have to pay tax and port fees )
and whats the difference between gold/plat/and black cruise packages?

Unfortunately not all inclusive which I assumed as well. The differences in cruise package is as follows.

Gold - no package
Platinum - 3 or 4 night Mexican/carribean cruise
Black - 7 night Mexican/Caribbean cruise
Chairman - 7 night cruise to anywhere NCL travels

Travel and port fees are passengers responsibility. Afaik Norwegian doesn't travel out of port of baltimore

thx for the info!
uugg about NCL. wonder why they picked a cruiseline that doesn't leave from the nearest port from their casino?

it seems the only things of value for me for the Black card is:
more freeplay $
free fri/sat nite mini-buffets
free valet

oh.. what do you know about the free Wynn hotel stay in Vegas?

Breakage. If you're* offered a "free" cruise leaving out of Baltimore you're more likely to take it. However offering a "free" cruise that you must first travel to New York, Florida, or somewhere that there's a significant added cost just to get to and from the port you're going to say no more often than not. But you'll still be impressed that you got offered a "free" cruise based on your play there and you'll thank them for the offer. MD Live gets to look like the hero and only pays out on a small percentage of the offers they make.

* 'you' references are generic, not specific.

That's exactly why it's a great business decision.

Yeah, I won one of those free cruises one time. You had to fly to FL and because of the timing, stay 2 nights in hotel. I threw it away.

Has anyone confirmed that poker play qualifies for the cruise and/or Atlantis stay?

Those packages are based on card tier. Once you earn a tier you are eligible for the benefit. Since you can earn platinum with poker hours then yes poker at is eligible for cruise/Atlantis stay

$25/50 games tonight and tomorrow i think that will be televised from md live

wondering if someone created a thread specifically to follow/comment on it

Eh, probably not. Don't think a thread like that would fly in B&M. Maybe NVG or BBV.

edit: Actually there's a Televised Poker forum. That'd be the place IMO.

Are the games going to be televised live or at a later date? Link?

The televised tables are at Ramshead Center Stage if you want to rail them.
