The food is borderline unpalatable. Noodles down right stinks!

As okay as it is for the system that tracks and assigns comps to be down the week many out of towners are playing a lot of poker. The same players that won't likely be back before the comps expire in 30 days.

Who's surprised that you'll come up with this superbly logical conspiracy theory? I'm certainly not

Fun times playing 1/2 at Table 50 with four 5/10+ regs killing time and mildly observing the $1100 bubble

Even in the lowest games this hourly rate is negligible compared to the amount of money being wagered. Most, if not everyone, are tipping at a faster rate than this.
There are always people who tend to abuse the system. This is true for most everything including those who lied about being a casino employee so they can get a discount and etc...However, is a matter of principle that when I am actually sitting there and play and was kicked out by the bravo system inadventenly or not, I should be credited for my plays because that is the promise from MDlive that if you play there, you'll get credit for your comps. I know I often wagered and tipped more than the comps that I earned but why should I be punished when the failure falls on MDLive's bravo system?

You said "It's only $1 to $1.50 per hour and I don't think it is worthwhile to tie the floor up when there are more important things to do like get players seated in a timely manner." That's the dumbest thing I've heard all day. For example, I logged in 9 hrs yesterday and also logged in 6 hrs at table 11 today and if the system failed to register my card then I should give up my comps (9 + 6 = 15 X $ 1.5 = $ 22.5) because the "floor got more important thing to do". Isn't the floor's job to take care the players when problems arise? Why should I conform and not call the floor when you know the system failed you again and again?

If the police said you stole from the store and you know you didn't but they gave you a chance to call your lawyer and you said, don't bother and admitted that you did steal. Never be afraid to call the floor and we are not playing "zoom' games.

Interesting...they sent me to table 50 around 5 pm but it appeared to be full. Got sent to 28 instead and cleaned up on several pre-flop calling station, fit or fold after flop, players.

I noticed they took down those blue and white wavy metal "decorations" (or whatever they were) that hung on the side wall by the cage. It looks a lot better with nothing on that wall instead of those metal things which kept hooking people shirts as the walked by.

I wonder if the tournament will have an overlay because of the snow. Drive safe everyone.

Or worse, people who sneak into the VIP lounge and steal a free meal!

But I agree with your main point. If we get inadvertently dropped from the Bravo, we should still get our comp time.

I'm interested in this too. I'm guessing now that everyone is closed today it will meet the guarantee.

In my years around casinos the players absolutely buried the casinos compwise by lying to supervisors they were playing 20/40 when they were playing 1/5 stud etc etc etc

There was even a group/several groups of guys who would swipe in at the taj walk to showboat swipe in then go over to ballys and the trop for the "card zapper".....totally abused the system
I don't understand how this relates to anything happening at Maryland Live! Sure, there were some poker players in Atlantic City who abused the systems in place at the time. In terms of the Taj, it was with the open knowledge of the floor people and their willingness to let players do this. Other casinos knew that this was happening as well (Borgata comes to mind) and yet did little or nothing for what seemed like ages about it.

How/what does this have to do with players not getting credited for time actually played at Maryland Live!? I truly don't see a connection here.

Also just remember when it's 5 way action to you preflop at Maryland live for $20 and you make it $100 and take the pot down that's an extra $6 in your stack compared to if you were playing at Charlestown

Players have it pretty good at Maryland live!
Very true - Charlestown is notorious for being bad to its players. But again, what does this have to do with Maryland Live! and the topic you are addressing?

I was there on friday night when they had white blotches on the wall and then later had a guy power sanding them off . Created a huge dust cloud even tho he was covered with a sheet. Kinda odd that did it on a friday night instead of like a tuesday. Pretty loud. Not a good look.

I was going to call Comcast and complain that my internet has been out for a week and that I've been paying for a service that I'm not receiving, but then I suddenly remembered the days of dial up internet. By comparison, I have it good, so I guess I should just be quiet and be grateful.

hahahahaha

yeah, i'm surprised they don't put a locked door there and stop poker players from going to the VIP room.

badge reader so black/chairmans can get in instead of walking all the way around for their mini buffet.

Ah.......No one stole food here since the security guard did not really check players' card to get in the lounge so we all assumed it was opened for everyone. Perhaps they purposely allowed all players poker included to go in since the lounge was lack of VIP guess and did not want the food go to waste and therefore, left the lounge open for everyone to enjoy a free meal. They are not gaining anything for only allowing VIP guests because there were never more than 3 to 5 VIP guests there most of the time and the servers would not get tipped as much with lack of guests. Unless they plan to serve the left over the next day which is unlikely. However, did notice they put a security rope there this past Saturday and I think because it was from my last post about the free meal. Btw, I don't miss it.

This is why when the casino potentially makes a mistake in the players' favor, you don't blab about it on the internet. Loose lips sink ships. You might not care about losing the access, but others might.

I'm not knocking going back there, I tried to check it out Friday night but they had a "guard" there.

You justifying it is comedy though...

Yeah, I'm going to miss the VIP lounge. The veggie platter was the only comped vegetarian food in the casino. (And the only vegetable served period, unless you count cole-slaw). I had been told Plat's would be allowed in a while longer. Oh well.

Hate to beat a dead horse, but has the point situation been fixed? I have what appears to be more comp dollars, but no points.
