So is there still a line to get to the window to get on the list or has that finally subsided?

I left about 20 minutes ago and the line was still at least 50 people deep, probably closer to 80-100.

Had a great time today, played 1/2NL for about 7 hours. Once again, my hat goes off to Mike for putting together such a great room.

My guess is that the room is funding the initial BBJ until enough money is collected to cover the cost and then the BBJ will begin to accrue.
I heard they seeded the jackpot with. $20,000.

Thanks. So say 75 plus what's on the list. Bummer. Was going to head over since I live so close by but I don't want to wait till 11 to get a seat.

So, when is the poker room going to expand, Mike?

Some one mentioned that the ATM only gives you $ 240 and the Bank of A is a 1/4 mile away. Actually, there's a capital one bank right across the street from the mall.

I bet it doesn't. The Harbor casino, which is being done by MGM, will pull the DC and NOVA crowd. The Horseshoe will pull the Baltimore city and north Baltimore crowd.

But Horseshoe can make some changes looking at the lines.

Wow, we're already talking about the next more-convenient casino to take business from the current king of the hill?

If you want to avoid lines, go to CT.

I think you did a very good job seating 500 people at once, which is no easy task. No point in worrying about anything that could have been slightly better, you never have to open again. This weekend will be crazy though!!

If you like playing with people worse than you, you'll be happy. If you hate it when people, "call off their whole stack with a gutshot" then you might wanna stay home

Fwiw, i heard people talking about showing up at 9 to avoid the morning rush. Today was a Wednesday, and the room wasn't open until noon and there were easily 200 people in line when I got there at 10:45am. Be ready to wait, be willing to play different (bigger) games, or go very early.

I'm not one to complain when people try to give me money, though I might grumble to myself when the poker gods refuse to let them. Thanks for the update. Guess I'll keep my eye on Bravo for opportunity's to sneak in without too much wait.

There was two 2/2 PLO games going but 1 of the games wasnt full and the action wasnt good so it broke, that's why there is currently only 1 game running.

I am sure a bunch of people just jumped on the waitlist once they saw Raymer playing. I wouldn't count on that level of interest all the time.

Can anyone confirm that we still have a line to get inside?

If you're upset about a long wait on opening day of this highly anticipated poker room, to put it in perspective:

I've waited for ~2 hours to get seated on my last two visits to Charlestown, a "well established" poker room, and there wasn't even a 150+ person line to get in.

Give Mike and his team at least a day to work the kinks out, let the early rush calm down, and I promise it's going to get better. WAY better.

With 100 people waiting, we get reduced rake for being short handed

Ditto. For a first day, and the first rush of players in, everything was pretty smooth.

I do understand why people wish it to go faster, but hopefully most people knew that that isn't realistic.

Try being at CT at 10am on a Saturday. 32 table room, 38 people on a 1-2 list, 16 tables going... 3 years after opening.

THAT IS SOME BULL ****!

I was in the area for business, and decided to stop by. I got there around 8:30pm. LOOOONNNNNGGGGGG line snaking away from the poker room. Bravo shows all 52 tables in play, with wait lists that aren't even close to right, because they don't include the long line outside of the room.

Disappointing that I couldn't even get in to see what the room looked like, but I can understand security's frustration.

Talk about swamped!!

I'm looking forward to playing there. Omaha - Yes!!!
