Yeah, it's only in timed games, 5/10+ NL and 5/5+ PLO.

Might be a good idea to re-orient the Table 24 sign towards the front of the room. As is, you don't really notice the sign unless you're right in front of the table.

This would be a very welcome and needed change to the Tuesday PM event!

Tuesday PM event they switched levels to 20 min which started in Nov. I really hope they switch this back to 30 min. I guess some of the donks were complaining that this tournament was going too late. The tournament is gonna go late regardless. I hate the fact they switched this to 20 min I probably won't play the Tue night anymore because of this.

Mike, can we get some more 30 min level tournaments besides the Tue afternoon and Sun?

Tuesday PM was the only tourney I played because of the great structure and low buy in. Now I will play none. #BringItBack

Take these up with MD Live.
This thread isn't restricted to the poker room, it is about the entire venue, which would include the casino, restaurants, etc.

+1 on having more 30 min level tournaments.

Complain; complain; poker players love to complain. It's almost as much fun as hitting a gutter. Speaking of complaints:

Howcome nobody has complained about the new 500-unit black tournament chips. Causing mucho confusion among dealers and players, especially since the other set of chips uses 100-unit blacks. Never seen a black chip that wasn't a 100.

Whew! I feel better already!

5/5 basically every day. 10/10 on weekends and 2-3 week days.

does the 10-10 have set days and time it starts?

Hey guys,

I just moved to DC from Egypt a couple of weeks ago. I like right by Union Station.

Was wondering what the best way to get to Maryland Live is from Union station?

I went twice with a cab but it cost me $130 to and back each time. I can't afford that, especially since I want to play a lot. Only good thing is that it only takes 30 minutes.

What I can do is go to the furthest station from Union, which is the closest to the Casino. Maybe pay a $20 cab ride... but I don't know which stations are closest.

p.s I don't own a car or have a license here.

So can you guys help out?

I want to give a big up to (one if the floor people) I Was there recently and waited about 30 minutes for a seat at 2-5 finally I get called and go to the table only to find a young guy unracking chips in my seat! I politely asked him to find another seat as they had told me to go to that seat and that I'd been waiting. He says sorry dude this is my seat I ain't moving. So I'm like ok u wanna make a big deal outta this lets go outside! Anyway I guess <floor person> was within earshot if what was getting ready to transpire and she pulls me aside and tells me to go to another seat and has the douche get up. I think he was ejected shortly thereafter. I'm usually very laid back and try to avoid trouble but this guy pushed my buttons that day if it wasn't for the floor being there to calm me down I probably woulda got 86d.

Take Amtrak or Marc train from Union Station to BWI station. Should be short cab ride (or maybe there is a bus also, not sure about that though).

Not to mention grey/silver 100 chips(which are usually 5ks) or purple 5ks(which are usually 500s)

If this transpired and I was the floor you would be joining him in being 86'd for the day.

I'm pretty sure there is now a shuttle that runs from BWI to MDL/Arundel Mills.

Looks like this one (bus).

Maybe we should add links in the OP/FAQ to lodging and transportation information? Seems to be a consistent line of questioning for visitors. Maybe even a subthread?

Take the MARC to Dorsey and then the Route 201 bus.

http://mta.maryland.gov/sites/defaul...201Feb2012.pdf

or use the Metro Trip Planner

It comes up with this.
http://www.wmata.com/rider_tools/tri...ripplanner.cfm

MARC to Odenton and then a bus.

Now, I have also seen folks post regarding taking the airport bus from Greenbelt ( The ML is 10 minutes from the airport ) and then taking a bus to ML from the airport.

Also, someone posted regarding taking a ZIP Car.

I have taken the Route 201 bus, since it leaves from right by me. It is a fine way to travel. It is more of a coach and not a bus. It is just $5.

Another search shows taking the MARC to BWI and then taking the #17 Bus or Howard County Silver Bus. That is the same bus you would take from BWI if you take the #30 bus from Greenbelt.

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=7002+...ed=0CCwQ8gEwAA

As you can see, the route 201 bus from Dorsey has limited hours. That is not the case with buses from BWI. Also you can take the Amtrak to BWI but it is more expensive, and so not necessary. The MARC is fine.

DORSEY is the closest train station. (MARC) Taking a cab from there would be the fastest way to go.

Bottom line, since you are new in DC. Always use the Metro Trip planner or google maps before you head to your new destination.

Note that the MARC doesn't run on weekends. Otherwise awesome trip planning advice!

[QUOTE=Shaaarrrp;40881533]Question for anyone who has any experience using the bravo software: is it really not possible to change the style of lists to scroll thru the entire thing? A while ago I signed up with 180 people in front of me. The person up front told me it would be 1-2 hour wait. I showed up an hour later and they refused to tell me where I was on the list. I explained that it was completely unacceptable to expect people to stand around for hours with no idea where they are on the list. You'd think they want people to go gamble in the casino while waiting to play cards but the current system makes that hard since you never have any idea where you are on the list til you're in the top 20. I was told that Bravo software does not have an ability to change the display. I personally find this hard to believe given it could be made so much better soooo easily. The fact that the Hollywood interface showed more than 20 on the list also reduces my belief that I was told the truth.

I agree that it would be a huge help to all the players to display more names on the waiting list. Charlestown has their Bravo running at a higher resolution and it will display one more column (5 games at once instead of the current 4) and several more names on the waiting list. The sooner you see your name displayed on the waiting list the better it is.

If they purchased cheap monitors that won't display a higher resolution that is the only reason I can think of why they can't change the resolution. The font size will obviously be smaller but that shouldn't be an issue.

As far as scrolling names on the list I don't think the Bravo software is capable of doing that.

Mike,
The tournament schedule flyer in the poker room says no 12:15 tourn on Veteran's Day (no mention of the 7:15). The schedule on the internet shows no 12:15 or 7:15 tourn. Is there a 7:15 this Monday??

I just missed an entire blind level in the 1215 tourney because i was told my ticket was for an alternate seat. And someone randomly sat in my actual seat cause the dealer didnt check receipts. If i had asked again about my ticket, i wouldve never been put in the tourney. Pretty tilted right now

Sounds really bizarre.

Did you mean to say if you HADN'T asked again? If so, did the TD not offer anything else to you?
