Once again, I learn from 2p2.
Actually, I would have thought that prop betting on things like red/black is
legal! So please count me in the group surprised to find out that it isn't. I've seen such betting go on at tables in both A.C. and Vegas (and perhaps elsewhere but can't remember) with no comments at all being made by dealers or floor staff or security - all of whom knew it was happening. Heck, at the OE pink chip game at Harrah's some of the guys had an entire list that they would play from.
Usually (since I only play at low level tables that is all I can comment on) it is for a dollar or two and payed for out of the stacks. No problems.
First time I've ever heard of it being illegal.
Mike - Would you please clarify this for us all? Is prop betting illegal in Maryland? I don't think any of us want to break the law!!
Thank you.

Both are complimentary to players.
That could solve some of the issues, and let waitresses focus on alcohol and more complicated food orders
I've also seen the self-serve soda fountains in CT (about the only thing that they get right there, IMHO) It's a good idea.
While the self-serve hot dogs (and/or other food) would be a nice touch, I don't see it happening in a room that charges $7!
for a hot dog.....
