I got an email from Maryland Live today.

= = = =

Dear David,

More than one hundred years ago, my grandfather, Louis Cordish, started what has become The Cordish Companies today. Throughout our history, we have faced, and navigated, The Great Depression, two world wars, and a countless number of local, national and world challenges.......and we now face another unprecedented event.

As we come to grips with the depth of the coronavirus crisis and its human impact, it highlights for me the importance of friends and family. If we have had the pleasure of meeting in person, you know I think of you as an extension of my family, which is why I write to you today.

I am very proud of the fact that my three sons are the fourth generation of the Cordish company, and all are very active at Live! and in fact, many of you have met them. And now, for the pièce de résistance, we are within a year or so of adding a grandson that will be the fifth generation. Put another way, we are born and bred Marylanders and we are not going anywhere. We hope to continue with you as our family for many more decades.

I’ve received many calls and emails, and while I appreciate your questions and concerns, I don’t want you to worry about your status at Live! during these trying times. The shutdown of our operations will not impact your tier status, comps, points, and offers. When we resume normal operations, all those items will be honored. If you have a slot ticket to redeem, we will honor that too. Operationally, at a minimum, we will extend the expiration date of those items to cover the period we were shutdown, plus significantly more. We will be waiting for you when our doors reopen; now is a time for you to remain healthy and safe.

In this issue of enormous scale, I ask you the same as I do of my three sons; be with your loved ones and adhere to government and healthcare advisories. Please keep our employees and their families in your thoughts as we keep you in ours. Until then, I look forward to going Live! with you again soon.

All the Best,

Signed David Cordish

What a relieve our points and tier won’t be lost. If this isn’t true, managers please clarify on here otherwise you will have many extra angry customers with higher expectations when you reopen. I got points for days and they better still be there. I been craving some Bobby Flays

For some reason all the horizontal lights on the side of the tower turned from red to blue. Looks cool.

Presumably part of the national trend to illuminate buildings blue as a tribute to Healthcare workers.

I'm sure your points will be safe until we re-open.

Thanks

we don't currently have any cash on property. I'm quite certain at some point, we'll be open. we just don't know when

Thanks

Looks like MD Live will be pretty aggressive in their safety requirements. Masks required of all hotel/casino guests.

Hopefully you won't be requiring masks, but if you do, what specific metrics will you be using to determine when you eventually remove the masking mandate?

There is a coronavirus containment thread in CCP, please go there if you want to have that discussion. These have been ruining the casino threads so we're not allowing them in this subforum.

https://www.livecasinohotel.com/open

They are doing a staggered invite opening by card level and by reservation. Masks required. Luk Fu and Orchid Kitchen only food options open. Garage only for high level cards; everyone else to the surface lot (probably the one next to Costco?)

Poker will be open, but no other details. I guess Mike will let us know about table max and other details.

Currently we plan to open Saturday at noon to our Gold Card members and above. Monday at 6am will be Classic and above. Open to general public starting the 29th. You'll have to use the reservation system from our website in order for us to control occupancy. I'm not really clear on how that works but will share more details when I know them.

Poker will be 7 handed with plexiglass on the 25 tables on the first floor. Hand sanitizer at every table. Masks required for everyone.

We'll be doing everything we can to make the experience as safe as possible from our end. The chips have been sanitized, the cards are new. Our temperature and yours will be checked at the entrance. We ask for your cooperation at this time and you do everything you can to stay safe. If you're sick, stay home and we'll see you soon. Wear the mask for your and everyone else's safety.

I'm not going to debate wearing a mask or not wearing one. This is what we have to do now. How long? Don't know, I'm just a poker guy.

Thanks. Hope to see you soon. Stay safe, wash your hands frequently, and don't touch your face. I've discovered during quarantine, that a margarita in each hand makes it difficult to touch my face.
