Second this. Weird thing happened to me. I got shorted $100 about a month back too and did not realize until I got home. He had the right number of bills and even counted them in front of me. Then when I got home I had a bunch of $100's and 2 - $50's. In effect the exact number of bills I expected when counted but $100 short. I just chalked it up to me being stupid and not paying attention....and no I did not return for two weeks so did not ask for a camera check.

That sounds like it would almost have to have been done intentionally. I have never gotten a $50 bill back from the cage much less two.

I'm still digesting the $100 FREE SLOT PLAY email that I received on June 27. Said $100 had been added to my card. Takes a while to realize that in order to collect the whole $100 you would have to come to the casino 10 different times ( 5 weekends and 5 weekdays) in July to collect it all.

July 30 Meet Up Game at Live with poker vloggers Brad Owen and Andrew Neeme. 3-5 NL (200-1000).

Last time in March we got 22 3-5 tables going a record for sure.

Come on down or up and have a ton of fun. Bomb pots and straddles galore.

If you're in the region and looking for bigger games and good players, this is a day to play.

Last time it played closer to a 5-10 or higher. Nearly everyone in for $1k and the straddles/bomb pots only fuel the reloads. (at least this was my experience)

These MUGs attract people who follow poker and poker vlogs, so the competition is pretty much all solid+ players.

Looks like there will be a $400/20min High Hand promo running that night too.
----

Next week is a $100 buy-in, $100k guarantee. 10 flights, 2-3 a day, starting Wednesday 7/17. Plays down to 5% each flight. Day 2 is Sunday. I imagine that guarantee will be crushed with all the reentries.

There is, see details a few posts above. 3/5 (200-1000). Played last time, 22 tables going of 3/5. Very casual, bomb lots of many/most dealer changes. Lots of fun. Andrew and Brad switch tables every 30-45 min or so to play with everyone. Live did and does a great job getting everyone seated and and running the games.

I live 45 min away, it’s my main casino.

Thinking of making a trip during the WPT in Sept. Being from the Midwest and never being on the East Coast at all how bad is the traffic to get there? Looks like I would be coming from I-70 and hit Hwy 100 to the casino. If its that horrible I can make it so I get there at 3am if I have too. Thanks.

Has anyone done the ladies poker brunch? My girlfriend is trying to learn poker, and she'd like to know if it's worthwhile. She knows the rules, but is otherwise a complete beginner.

Not sure how it is in the morning, but in the afternoon it isn't bad heading to the casino from this direction, as most of the traffic is heading the opposite way.

I don't know what time you'd have to get there, but I suspect it would be pretty clear by 9am.

I70 and 100 to the Live parking garage is about 15-20 minutes, so it just depends on how much of 70 you have to travel to get to that point.

Depending on where you are coming from, BWI airport is only minutes from Live and has lots of affordable flights to the midwest (Southwest). Might be easier if you're west of Columbus or so.

Two questions-

1-if you win a seat into the wpt main event do you have to play or can you sell your seat?

2-currently in a legal battle with the state of MD over taxes I don't believe I owe, they obv feel differently lol. If I win a tournament or satty when they take my ID and all that can the state of MD confiscate my winnings? Cause that would suck.

Ps-before questions-Missed first case due to mail issues on appeal

Borgata tries to garnish Phil Ivey's 2019 wsop winnings for the $10M he owes them:
https://www.pokernews.com/news/2019/...rest-34936.htm

so yeah if you owe, they can send legal notice to get your $ (at least in Nevada).
whether the wsop people actually withheld his $ is still unknown

I was at Hollywood at Penn National last night and the MUG with Brad and Andrew was def a topic of discussion. Rumor has it over 100 people on the interest list.

If you look on Bravo, it lists a "3-5 MUG $200-$1K" list, which currently (as of 7/28) has 186 names on the list. Last time they visited, the list got up to 286 sign ups by the day of the event, and they got 22 tables running - I think they used the entire upstairs area.

Here are the vlogs from Brad and Andrew about their first visit to Maryland Live.

Rumor also has it that time rake is going up to $6/HH, at least for the 5-card.

Combined with the decimation of the tier streak perks (which did a decent job of "rebating" a portion of one's rake along with the comps), maybe it's time for other more economical hobbies. Or back to the home games.

I'll get flamed for this but there should be separate 1/3,2/5 games. 1 for the high hand chasing nits,no straddles promo rake. And 1 for people who want to just play poker but do not have a 25k+ roll to play 5/10. Games where straddles are allowed anywhere, maybe up to 5x/6x of the BB. But I know i am in the vast minority on this

The games with promos will be the better games because that's where most recs will want to play—imho.

Having said that, it might be nice to have some promos that don't affect the play of hands, like hot seat and/or hot table.

Just have to go north 15 minutes. Can straddle anywhere and up to $15 in 1/3.
However, they do HH promo every day of the week and not many tables to change to if you don't like the one you're at.

Agreeing with klez. These promos sure draw in the casual players, and casual money to the table. Around here I see it's more likely to get beat with a garbage hand player chasing their 36s for a straight flush than worry about the OMC/nits not playing hands.
