Did anyone here play in the 5 card/Big O game on Thursday? How was it?

Looks like a ~150k overlay on the Main Event guarantee of $2M.

I see Hendonmob has updated DB with main event results but it doesn't look like they have any of the other events. Does anyone know, does WPT publish results from the other events in their series?

They do, but MDL has to pass on all the results in order for that to happen. Maybe ask the TD?

Mike, although it was ultimately my fault ainec, i mucked winner of not insignificant side pot because dealer didn’t make it good before running it and then do showdown correctly. What are they *supposed* to do?

It is important to include the action in the hand as to showdown order if Mike's to answer this.

In this hand, BB jammed a covering stack, hero called, third player called. Order is BB, hero, third player. But there is no specific order that dealers have to enforce people can flip their hands over immediately in whatever order they want when there is no more action which is what confused the hero and caused him to muck a winner.

Think it's kinda absurd to suggest this is at all on the dealers and IMO they shouldn't really say anything about who has to show first unless people are refusing to flip their hands or there's a question.

How about a 2/2 4card I would make the 10 minute drive to MDL if it ran...

Ive connected to it,only b/c I'm over my 4g Cap and 3G is completly substandard now. That said, I dont really have much any hackers could get into my phone and steal so my worry level is low.
I also get the same message at my job's wifi connection. Its just a general message to be aware I believe. Not specific to a certain network

ML has added some new TVs. They are about the same size as the ones that were already there, but the new ones are mounted a few feet higher than the original TVs making viewing of the new TVs much easier to see. Also, they've filled in some of the gaps - like in the corner by table 2, and in between the cashier and safety deposit box entrance.

We send results monthly for sure to HM

What they "should" do, is ask for the players in the sidepot to show first and try to keep the player dying to show the winner for the main pot, from exposing their hand, causing other players to muck.

Thanks

Mike

Would also totally be down for some kind of mix that included 2/2 PLO, 5-card PLO, Big O and either 1/3 or 2/5 NLHE.

If anyone is interested in playing 10/20 LH tomorrow, I'll start up the list at 430PM. Will start and/or play short, I really just want to get the game going

It almost went today. There were 4 of us playing 4/8 who wanted to start the 10/20 game, and we started a list and tried to talk a few others into playing. Eventually several more got on the list (maybe 8 or 9 total) but by the time they called the game an hour or two later (around 6:00pm), several of the people on the list had left and only 3 of us showed up at the table. The one who had left (who had said they would play) are mostly day time players.

Good luck getting it going tomorrow (I can't make it) - but you might have to wait until Monday night for 10/20 to go again, especially since there are no high hand promotions this week on Wednesday or Thursday so the room probably won't be that crowded on those days.

Yeah, this one is having trouble keeping its legs I'm afraid. Even with Monday as the "designated" day, it seems there are barely enough people playing to keep it going more than a few hours. Monday is probably a tough day to draw the social amateurs (me) which is what you really want for the game's health. This Monday it was mostly 6-7 handed.

I wonder if Thursday is usually a good day for experimentation, since you'll get a lot of the "early weekend" crowd? (like me.) However, I think there's a 20/40 game promoted for that day, and I'd guess that's a highly overlapped field. (not me)

Yeah yesterday was no shot at 10/20 starting up lol I do agree that Monday is a tough day but am hopeful that it will continue to run for a while longer. There was 15 people on the list this week but when they called all the names we had 6 show up. Fillled up for a little bit, had some people win a big pot and then rack up and then played short for the rest of the time. I've never played 20/40 so idk if there is overlap or not...I'll start a list again tomorrow when I'm there and see what happens

Anyone have a suggestion for arrival time Saturday if you want to maximize your chances of being seated at 11am when the promo begins, while minimizing the time you have to play/wait pre-promo?

If above post is any indicator, they're going to be ready with plenty of dealers. So does that mean that showing up at 10:30 got everyone seated by 11?

Hoping to get home chores complete in the AM to free up the day!

I got into the 10/20 on one of the Mondays it ran and honestly I don't see it lasting very long. The game was good but the way it was handled by the floor was a bit silly and really put me off. Basically they kept two seats empty despite a list because those people were players and would be by. Also a few people sitting in who were just looking to hit and run a big hand or two then go back to wherever. The regulars who drive the game were a pretty miserable and quiet lot it reminded me a lot of playing with the miserable nits at the Taj way back when.

This is just a guess, but I'd say if you are there by 10:00, you'll be seated by 11:00. 10:30 is pushing it - maybe you'll get a seat, but maybe not. Just because they have dealers, they can't open all the tables at once - it has to be done one table at a time. I'm guessing the lists will be long at 10:00 but not so long that the can't open a table every 5 or 10 minutes between 10:00 and 11:00 and get most people seated.

That being said, I'm planning on arriving around 9:30. If playing an hour with smaller late night high hands ($150 every 30 minutes, which runs until 11:00am) means I have a seat when the big 11:00am high hand promotion starts, that doesn't seem bad at all. But I'll have my chores done before Saturday.

Could someone help me out with some info... staying in bel air md for the weekend, I’m assuming the closest place to play would be Maryland live followed by national harbor right ? Does either place spread Omaha either 1/2 or 2/5. Looking to play Saturday night and Sunday afternoon , thanks for any input.

From Bel Air, you're closest to Horseshoe Baltimore and Delaware Park just over the line.

Horseshoe barely has games other than NLH.
Delaware Park usually has at least one table of Omaha on the weekends.
Most everything at MDL is 2-2 5card, 4-8, or higher limits.
NH has a 1-2 game going right now, but sees higher on the weekends, I believe.
(just my observations, not an omaha player, someone else might give better clarity here)

Saturday at MDL will be a bit of a zoo with $1000 high hands every 15min starting at 11am. All tables and games will be full by 1pm or so. If you're able to get there early enough, it's worth visiting here.

As a side note, you're a solid 2hrs drive one way from Bel Air to the garage at National Harbor though. Be prepared to wait around if you're not there til afternoon Saturday as well.

Jump on Bravo Saturday morning, put in your Bel Air zipcode and check out the options.

Last time they had 1k hands every 15, I got there at 9:30 and was seated pretty quickly. By 10:00 you nailed it, the lines were already building.

Any recent reviews on the buffet? Anyone for over 35 dollars for the seafood buffet on Sunday nights? Trying to see where I should use good credits. I usually get tacos or a quesadilla.
