It's a good game when it goes. Time charge though which can be annoying when people play slowly. The dealers do a good job of running the game in general. It's been 5-5 sometimes of late which IMO is better given the time charge (more bang for your buck).

That was my observation the few times I played it - we were getting on the order of 1 orbit per dealer, which made for a pretty expensive per-hand charge at $7/HH.

At least with rake (at this rate) you're only paying when you "win" (I know, I know, that's not technically true... but don't win a hand for 2 hours and you're still out $28.)

Does anyone know of any other casinos which match MD Live tier levels?

Things seem to be getting a little "salty" at MDL lately. I had a guy go off on me for 10 minutes after I called clock on him after 3 minutes of "I have a monster" facing a $16 raise and then last night a guy called another player various colorful names and said he was going to punch him after the player said something about "not jinxing" the high hand someone had posted. There were multiple other lesser but still salty/aggressive conversation/arguing going on all night.

Seems like something to put a lid on ASAP. If the room gets unfriendly it's going to drive people away.

saw an older gentleman argue with a floor last night. to the point it was uncomfortable for me sitting 2 tables away. Well fast forward 30 minutes, the mini bad beat hit at his table....while he was taking a piss!! LOL. Karma always runs good!!

Oddly even though they have my email and physical address I don't get anything from the MDL promos. Probably missed at least a couple attempts at that holiday gift card thing.

I got an email about the promotions. It also lists drawings that will occur on Sundays and Mondays. You earn a ticket for each hour played (Sat/Sun earns tickets for Sunday drawing, Sat-Mon play earns tickets for Monday drawings). Sunday drawings, which occur noon until 11:00pm are worth between $1K and $5K. Monday drawings are between 5:00pm and midnight and are worth between $1K and $3K. I assume you have to be there to win. It doesn't say what happens if a name is drawn and the person is not there - do they draw again or does it roll over?

The drawings are nice. It is a little weird that the only day time high hands for Mondays are between 9:00am and 11:00am, but I guess that's OK especially with the drawings on Mondays.

If you hit a $1000 high hand, do you also win a tax form with it?

Like many of you, Maryland Live! has heard the reports that the PPC has not been fulfilling its obligations to pay tournament winners. We are closely monitoring the situation and will keep our players informed of any developments. This is all I can say at this time.
