I don't think you can randomly applied the "S- shaped" growth theory in the poker rooms in the DC areas. I would have agreed with you if you are applying to the Vegas areas since there's a poker room in most casinos. However, we only have three casinos or three poker rooms in the DC areas and MDLive controls at least 70% of the market share based on the daily and weekend traffic from the Bravo reports for MDLive, Horseshore, and Charlestown. In order to apply the "S- shaped" growth theory, you would need a lot of more data and in this case, many more poker rooms in the DC areas. One poker room such as MDLive cannot be accounted for 70% of the market share and therefore, there's no equilibrium.

We need some mid stakes LHE.
These are some of the best 2/5 games in the country. They will only get worse in the future. Maybe you should move down in limit.

Lol that an undergrad rediscovers logistic growth 200 years later and gives it a name no one uses.

Focal unit would be poker players not poker rooms.

Zoltan explains the logistic map and chaos theory one time? Also wanted to find a model that shows that not only does the flow of new players die off to a trickle but that the existing stock of players also decreases due to rake. Oh well the flow will increase when MGM opens and unlocks more latent demand...though it would be interesting to hear what ppl think of how the player pool will look in 5-10 yrs

This topic is perfect for the Maryland Regional Communities thread because it's relevant to all casinos in the region. Please continue the discussion over there. Thanks!

How big is the bankroll builder field, what are the payouts, and is there any chance it fills up quick (meaning I need to get there early). Thanks!

Sorry for the repost, but surely there's some limidonks in here that have tried the 75/150 (apparently there's a 100/200) running now. I've played the 20/40s in AC (at the Borgata mostly) and 40/80 there too and wanna know how they compare. 75/150 is a bit high for me but if the games are good enough I'd like to take a shot. Any info? Thanks guys.

In my mail today was a letter from ML saying that if I show up between Dec 20 and 24, I can get a free pair of Under Armour gloves. They look pretty nice in the picture. Cool! Thanks ML.

I enjoy the game. It's worth giving it a shot imo.

Does it play as a straight 75/150 or is there usually a rock/kill/something else in place?
Quote

Usually a half kill.

When it was $50/$100 they often played with a half kill and super (full) kill. Since they went to straight $75 they don't often play with a kill, just straight up.

Thanks, I'll probably give it a shot. Do most come in for one or two racks of green?

Can anyone tell me about the featured 10/20 limit game on Saturdays at 4pm? Does it usually run? Can I call in to reserve a seat? If not, what time do I need to show up to reserve a seat? Any other details appreciated.

I believe he was saying that he would also like to hear the response to your questions.

It just means he also wants to know the answer.

Does a game being "featured" have any benefits? Or just a time where it might be running?

10/20 never goes.

20/40 or 30/60 may pick up again soon on Saturdays.

10/20 ran 2 or 3 times back in August but not enough interested players. Too tough for me so I went back to PLO.

It was running most Saturdays over the summer, but hasn't run since then. There were a few people who worked pretty hard to get the game running each week (mostly maintain a mailing list and sending out weekly reminders). There was usually a full table, plus a short list. I'm not sure if their interest died out, or if it was the raising of the bad beat jackpot drop from $1 to $2 per hand that hurt the game. Maybe both. The game isn't even listed on the Bravo sign-in machine any more (you can still ask at the desk to have the list started).
