Just get in line and get it at the front they have 6 people working there and takes 10 mins. Poker room is so busy now by the time u get your card you could have miss the 1 hr comp.

Exactly, the goal of any business is to maximize profit and therefore, they'd not want u to bring any food or beverages and reduce their bottom line. It's also good if they search bags to prevent criminals to carry in guns and rob the casinos and hurt somebody so it's also a good safety measure. I've never carry a bag to the casino and also the closest parking lot is right outside. Unlike the Borgata that you have to walk miles away so I don't see the fuss of leaving the bags in your car that you can't retrieve within 5 mins of walking distant.

Players are being let in 10 at a time to sign up and then move out of the poker room There is a long line and we can't let everyone come in and mill around. we would be waaaaaay over fire code

Bravo update is back up and running. Looks like still long waitlist.

There's a difference between having the bags searched, which I view as a separate issue, and not being allowed them at all. Which may or may not be the case here. Clarity will, I am sure, be forthcoming.

As for convenience - so everytime someone wants to add/subtract a sweatshirt or hoodie, or everytime someone wants to take out their Ipad or whatever, or everytime someone wants to take out their reading material, or everytime (for some folks, this is a necessity) needs to reach for medications - they have to go out to the car, with the loss of playing time and hassle this means?

Why? I honestly don't get it.

Fyi if river checks through, the person with worst position is obligated to show first. Not sure if this is in the faq but supervisor had to be called to our table to make ruling

Got here at 7pm. Seated at 8pm for 2/5. No complaints.

I believe it's last aggressor, but that if it checks through the river it's interpreted that the first to act is the first to show.

Mike stated this in the last thread if it is checked through on the last street then the worst position shows first. This is also in the Roberts Rules of poker.

Robert's Rules of Poker state that the last player to take aggressive action by a bet or raise is the first to show the hand—unless everyone checks (or is all-in) on the last round of betting, then the first player to the left of the dealer button is the first to show the hand.[1]

This is why i posted lol. Supervisor literally just said its 'the person with worst position' aka left of the button.

I like getting the comps but the purpose of my question is to find out if there is a faster way to get on the poker board for mixed games than wait in the long line. I thought maybe swiping the card would be faster.

as I mentioned earlier, the bravo machine to swipe to put your name on the list, instead of the people at the podium doing it, is next to the podium.

so u gotta wait on line to get in the front doors of the poker room first. after u get thru the front door, the point is moot.

Waited about an hour in line. Sat immediately at a limit game while waiting for 1-2 NLHE & 2-2 PLO.

Mike I asked earlier in the thread I guess you missed it but will you be capping the Sunday tournament? If so what time do you recommend getting there to be assured a seat?

Yes we probably will. I don't know at what number. We probably won't start taking registration until 10am. Eventually, after we get through this first couple weeks, I'd like to allow registration any time, but can't yet. Too crazy right now

Hey Mike,

Really loving the room so far. One minor issue, however. The PA system is way too loud! It's pretty hard to hear even someone right next to you when names are being called (and as the room's very busy, this happens often). It would be great if you guys could turn it down a few notches (I mentioned this to three floor people today with no luck, the last telling me they weren't sure where the volume control was located).

My $.02 is that its gonna be extremely hard for that tournament to go off, I hope it is postponed be because with the turn out for cash games and not enough space for everyone where can it be held at? And please don't suggest they should have built a bigger room until the other rooms in the DMV area open up cause if they still have the space problem then we can start complaining about the space.
