I don't think my post should have been moved. It was critical of ML, but ending with the suggestion of making the promotions more inclusive for all players. It never mentioned any other casino. But whatever.
If you want conspiracy theories, here's one. There is a UNLV.edu web site that keeps track of how much each casino makes each month.
https://www.library.unlv.edu/center_...st-2015.html-0 . I will be curious to check out the numbers when the September numbers come out, to see how the affect of ML's poor promotion losing players and HS gaining in players from their promotions.
Horseshoe's numbers in general (not just poker) were up a bit in August. I guess the anniversary promotions they were running brought in some more gamblers. On page 6, it lists the numbers of money earned by each casino for poker, in dollars per day per table. All of the numbers stay pretty consistent over the past year, except Horseshoe in August, went from around $1,000 per day per table (a number which it has maintained over the past year) to nearly $6K in August!
If that's possible, if that's not a typo, I expect big changes as the competing casinos try to replicate that huge increase in income. But that jump seems too big to be true. Or I'm misinterpreting the data somehow.
