As far as I know we don’t have NFL Sunday ticket. I’ve been here for four months. I’m still learning all of the ins and outs.

I am trying to develop Majestic into a real solid second poker room for the area. Shoe has dominated for so long and frankly they just assume you’ll give them your business. I’ll work to get it.

The PLO tournaments should get at least 20 or so players. I put this specific tournament together for friends that wanted a PLO tournament. I actually got this approved by the State so fast that I didn’t anticipate even having the October 14th tournament. But we will be ready. I know it’s during the Circuit but their day is structured around hold’em and larger buy ins. We are the friendly local joint. The sense of timing is slightly unfortunate but putting these tournaments together is more about building a solid monthly schedule than having any one particular tournament. I was preparing for the November to be the first PLO but since it is here now I’ll do my best to make it successful. Tell your friends. Trying to put word out all over.

So the first one will be October 14th Sunday @ Noon.

Hi Spike. Sorry I have been super tied up the last few days. The PLO didn't go because we were up against the $600 at the Circuit that day. Which was unfortunate but just the way it fell. We still plan on running it in November on 11/11. HPT will be in town that week but I am hoping that the players who want to play a $2500 Main are not the same ones that want to play a $250 PLO with $50 bounties.

As we wrap up October, check out the Turkey Run events! We start seat giveaways in the room October 28 and run through the 31. We also have new tournaments (Sunday $110 NL at 3pm, $250 PLO with $50 Bounties second Sunday at 12pm, Turkey Run Series over Thanksgiving) and promotions starting on Monday! New High Hand with rollover feature all Monday. Queens, Kings and Aces promos Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Well be giving cash away on Tuesday and Wednesday, $110 Sunday 3pm NL tournament seats on Thursday.
Facebook giveaways again coming October 31 and November 7 for Turkey Run.

Just to put out there, we are doing $60 qualifiers right AFTER the HPT event at Ameristar that runs November 1-13. 20% will advance to our $200 Turkey Run Main Event. I am guaranteeing 5 Main Event seats for each of 5 qualifiers.

In addition, starting tomorrow, Sunday, October 28, at 8:30am, 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 8:30pm, 9:30pm, 10:30pm, 11:30pm and 12:30am we are giving away seats to the qualifier. Table drawn then high card for a seat at each of those times. (10 times a day.) Seats given away Sunday 10/28 - Wednesday 10/31.

We are also running a promo on Facebook where if you like the Majestic Poker Room page, once we hit 500 likes, we are going to give away $500 in tournament entries. $250 to 2 winners.

Hi everyone. I wanted to be sure to share the MidStates Poker Tour stop here at Majestic in January, 2019. The Main Event will be Friday January 25 through Sunday January 27. satellites start on January 3rd, with plenty of $65 and $250 satellites. $65 satellites send 20% into the $250 satellites. The $250 satellites send 20% into the $1,100 Main Event.

Also, please take a look at the new tournament lineup and structures for 2019. I've made some changes to add additional value and fun to our weekly tournaments. A couple of new tournaments, a revamping of the buy-in process and lots of chips and levels. Facebook is usually kept pretty current. But of course feel free to write me here too.

The Majestic Star was sold a month or two ago. They plan to move one boat many hours away. They plan to move the other onto land in Gary. How long until these actions take place?

Honestly, the new owners have not taken ownership yet. It’s pending IGC approval.

What they plan on doing after they are approved is anykne’s guess at this point.

When we know things, we’ll let you guys know.

Who thinks there will be a poker room after The Majestic Star becomes only one casino located on Land In Gary?

Well, when the sale goes through I’m sure we will have a better idea from the new owners as to what the large scale plans will be.

I would like to think that with a lot of space, Poker will still be included.

The new Majestic Star on Land In Gary sure will smell better than the current riverboat!

I have played poker at The Majestic Star plenty of times in 2018. When you leave there, your clothes smell so awful that they have to be washed immediately.

Bill to move one Majestic Star casino license inland, another to Terre Haute clears Senate committee!

There has been movement on the casino legislation. Which is great. We have worked to improve the room and the cleaning solution that is used on the carpets. The vessel is still old so there is a maximum that can be done especially when the other areas are smoking. I am trying to improve the experience overall.

With that in mind, here are some announcements of stuff that is happening soon:

Hi Players! We hope to see you out this week, as we have some exciting announcements.

Effective March 1, all of our weekly tournaments will be in the big blind ante format. We feel that BBA offers the best player experience for the money in that the chip counts can remain high, blind levels essentially stay the same yet the length of the tournament is more reasonable and faster paced without having to chase down antes each hand.

Also, the monthly PLO $250 with $50 bounties has been moved to the second Thursday at 5pm.

Also, we will now run a Seniors’ (50+) tournament on the second Sunday at 12pm for $150.

And a Bad Beat Rollback.

It's Saturday at 4:30 pm. I show that only two 1/2 NL games are running and a 1/5 Stud game. That's a total of 3 games. Is this place moving up or down?

Why would you ever go here when the Shoe is a mile away?

It is Tuesday night at 10 pm. According to Poker Atlas, there is only one table running. Is the poker room going to be shutting down soon?
