How often do they get a Stud8 game going? I never see it when I'm there. I used to play in the LO8 game but would love to try Stud8 or OE.

Was at the Shoe sat. and they had a 6/12 HORSE going. Was a fun game. Should go again next weekend I'm hoping.

Stud bad beat hit last night. 6666 < 9999
Now the crazy part of this is that I have visited the Majestic Star exactly 3 times in my life (all this year) and have seen a bad beat get hit on ALL THREE visits (one on a table where I was playing). Is that crazy or what? I'm thinking the regs in that room should invest in gas cards to get me in the room more often... Or a cash retainer works, too, I guess.

Exactly what I said. BBJ's don't seem to get very large at Majestic. I believe this is due to the fact they are entirely player funded, with no house seeding at all. When I was there for the Omaha BBJ in February, the BBJ ad sign showed "$50" as the new jackpot amount.

No. Majestic is a good 1/2 N/L room and affordable small by-in tournaments which run at 7 pm most nights. Call for correct time or schedule.

Okay, it's been a loooong time since I played here. This is actually where I began playing poker back in 2002.
I am going to become a tourney player only tired of cash game grind, so what are the best tournaments to play and how about that 12pm tourney on mondays anyone?

Seen a huge decline ever since horseshoe reopened, but the cash will possibly be even busier with the wait lists at the Shoe being absurd. The tourneys however will prob be small, as usual.

What was funny is that I was there on Saturday and not a soul mentioned a thing about the shooting--seriously. Does anybody know if the games are a lot harder at Horseshoe than at the Majestic? I prefer the shoe but its much harder to get a table.

Does anyone play the Sunday morning 11 AM tournament here? How is it? What size is the field? etc. etc.

I had a baby in November and haven't fit in any casino trips since then. I think I can make time on a Sunday to play, but that's about it.
