what?

the ferry a 1 hour ride. So factor in another 30 minutes for land transit, your looking around 1.5 hours 1 way.

You have to be at the ferry terminal 30 mins in advance because you have to go through immigration and other lines before you depart, especially on the Macau side. I nearly missed a ferry once even arriving like 40 mins in advance. And also immigration on the other side, so you are already at 1.30-1.45 from ferry terminal to ferry terminal. Macau is small, so 15 mins seems about right, but there are not many places in HK where you can be in 15 mins. From my place it takes around 45 mins net to the ferry terminal and I never made it to a Macau casino in under 3h. There are way more remote places in HK, hence the 4h max.

I need cash in macau. Is possible to wire while I'm abroad? Looking for best offer

100~300k

Ideally would pay some macau boss USD in Vegas over the summer but probably not realistic but I dunno. Am reputable, have plenty of cash in my brokerage accounts and I hear people are desperate to get cash out of macau.

(Couple years ago some guy I hardly knew just gave me 500k Hkd I hadn't even really asked for so forgive me for sounding so naive and optimistic)

Can confirm rake rape at the Wynn in Macau. It obviously gets better as you move up in Stakes but I had the poker room manager brag to me numerous times that the Wynn Macau is the most profitable poker room in the world. Not sure if true or not but it's quite a claim for a place with about 10 tables total.

Lol zero chance that his statement is true. A 10 table room, even with high rake wouldn't be the most profitable

Hi there!

Any NL tournaments for up to 100 USD available in Macau?

Haven't played in a while and cannot afford too much...

Also, are all casinos and poker opened 24/7?

Cheers

Are all hotels so expensive in Macau? Saw the prices in the Pokerstars Macau link last page and it was all above 800HKD per day. Looking for some cheap alternatives at maybe 400HKD a day

In short, forget it. Have a look at the price of Macau Masters hotel, close to Darling 1, this one of the s***iest and cheapest hotels and prolly a good indicator for the cheapest price you can get. But AFAIK even that one is 700+ usually. Prolly cheaper in Zhuhai but you need a China visa and cross the border every time and 400 will be a stretch there too...

It's 21. I've never seen an ID check at a casino though, so you might take your chances.

I've heard (from reliable upper management at COD) COD will be closing their PokerStars room at the end of March after APPT. Can anyone confirm?

I've checked the pokerstars macau website and there are no events slated after it.

I'm planning a trip to Macau to play some cash game.
I was wondering if anyone could help me to choose the best game.
I usually play 5-10 10-20 in Vegas.
I heard Venetian has good game, but huge rake. What is the rake exactly? I find many different answer online.
There is another place where the 50-100 run other than Venetian and Wynn?

thank you

Are they moving to another casino? Really don't see why they would be closing as there are certainly #1 tournament operator in Macau. There is a APPT Korea scheduled and I'm sure the team from Macau would be taking charge of it also.

Haven't heard anything from my end with regards to this, would love to hear more details. Please PM me if you have any additional info.

Haven't been in like half a year or so someone may update if incorrect:
Wynn (Nam Van) is the only place that consistently runs 50-100+
CoD usually has a considerable action across the stakes when a tourney series runs, little to no action when not.
Venetian will run 50/100 more often than other places but it's not a sure thing. Particularly so at off-times (weekdays, during the day, summer). Wynn Cotai, Galaxy will have 50/100 sporadically.
Best bet is to come during a big tourney series.
The rake is 5% capped at 200 HKD for all places except Venetian capped at 250 for 25/50 and 300 for 50/100 (not sure about 100/200, but I think its 400).
Yes, IME the 50/100 at Venetian and also all the other places tend to be better than Wynn (Nam Van) when they run. Prolly partially due to the absurd rake and them being not a regular offering. However, IMHO, even aside from the rake, compared to good places like the US, all games at least in the area up to 100/200, suck and many games up to 100/200 are prolly unbeatable long-term due to the rake and lack of fun players.
I heard it's better at high stakes (Wynn Nam Van has 300/600+ more or less consistently) but this is second/third hand info.
