For sure live poker is the reason, and I am forcing myself more and more often to play LIVE since the games are really good.
I am living in Zhuhai actually and come over to Macau around 2-3 days per week...and I wouldnt attest that there is "only gambling" in Macau. When you know the nice spots Macau can be quite a charming city imo.

Considering airfare alone is probably 1K USD and hotels here arent cheap it if you have less than 20K USD you'd prob be better off grinding online. If you're grinding small games it's one week of EV just to make the airfare back.

if you're too lazy to read thread and insist on bumping your own question...

games aren't soft here, the rake is high and the rooms are smoke infested. stay away

Loads of tough grinders, rake is 5% up to max of 5x BB, barely any fish at all since the mythical high rollers only play baccarat

10/20hk probably plays like 100/200 US

Anyone know how often the 1k/2k plo game at StarWorld runs? Can Americans play or is it generally private?

Hey I have a 2am flight on 5/18 and want to check out of my hotel on 5/17 and play poker til midnight-ish. Is there a place in the poker room or casino I can check my carry on bag in?

yeah sure should be no issue .. just walk up with your bags to the entrance . any casino will have a cloak room near where you can leave your bags

if you cant find it at first sight .. every entrance has couple of security guards .; they will point you in the right direction .. this should work in Venetian , Grand Lisboa, Hard Rock, Wynn .. and the rest of them probably too
