Why doesn't Lucky's have a thread? I've been playing at the Hard Rock since Black Friday and I'm looking to check out some other places (partly due to this month's awful promotion). I've heard some good things about Lucky's, but I was surprised to discover it doesn't have a thread that I could find.. Staying at a hotel by Busch Gardens, so Lucky's is very convenient.

There was some posts awhile ago when they started the 1/2/5 plo game, but other then that game it really is a dive room. 1/2 nl is 20$ min buy in, and the biggest tourney they run I think is their monthly 115. They do run decent high hand promos, but you can probably do better at the silks or Derby.

Yeah, I went in there today and left 5 minutes later. I had been to Silks and thought it was bad, but wow.

You thought Silks was bad? Play or the room? Yeah Lucky's is a true hole in the wall... although if your up for gambool gambool, Lucky's can be that place.

don't remember exactly but pretty short-most buy for $300 or so. Lots of all ins,lots of rebuys-
call and they will give you exact amts

2/5 action pretty good ,as it is all the guys waiting for plo to get started..lol. Just Mon & Thurs tho

What did you think was bad about The Silks? They have some of the best games, promos, dealers and staff in Tampa.

Silks is far and above "Luckys" for sure. To even compare the 2 would be like comparing The Bellagio to the Statrosphere in Vegas, not even close.

It has less players than the other rooms in the area, but a greater percentage of fish and gamblers. More of the players do min buy-ins so a lot of it is short-stack play. The PLO game can also be quite juicy, although you have to compete with other sharks for the chum. I haven't visited since they started 3-Card, Ultimate & Chinese, so I'm not sure how this has affected the action. 1/2 and 1/3 NLHE run regularly; not much 2/5 and nothing bigger. Security is a greater risk - the neighborhood isn't great, although I've never actually had a problem.
