What are the current jackpot promos? The more detailed the description the better.

Any o8 at Lucky Chances? I'm moving to SF in 2 weeks. What about other area casinos?

Any live updates of their available games? So many places using Bravo now, can't believe SF casinos don't have it yet.

o8? bravo? What's that?

Most don't use Bravo because there's no reason to. They don't give comps so there's no reason to track play. As for giving players the convenience of knowing what games are going, the cardrooms don't care, because the waitlists are usually long anyway.

BTW, there are no SF casinos. But Bay 101 has O8.

Those two statements don't make sense.

The 1/1/2 game is soft and very playable and profitable.

I make plenty of money @ 1/1/2 and very easily. Someone else I know who has more hours than I do has made lots of money also so between the both of us we have a fairly decent track record of wins. You just have to know how to play that game.

I make ~$40 per hour @ the 1/1/2. The other player made $30 but he is almost as skilled as I am I'd say. He has the brain and the training just not the years of experience in live play like I do.

I also have another poker partner who has an equally impressive winrate @ the 2/5. He is as good as me just a larger bankroll.

2/5 plays everyday I think usually a game starts @ noonish. The 5/10 can be soft or can have good regs. Depends like anything. The big fish come out after 5pm.

But how soft is relative to your skill. I think its soft, I just have to rebuild my bankroll to play it. End of summer is when I think I will have enough. $10k BR is my goal between online and live.

If you play very ABC poker I think you can beat it for a profit. To really kill it you need to play an exploitive style and not be afraid.

Related question: Does 4/8 or 6/12 O8 reliably run on Tuesdays anywhere else in SF Bay? Or are all those old nits broke/dying now?

Assuming the 1/1/2 is not worth it, how much do you need to sit at the 2/5?

I'm headed to San Francisco from:

Monday 1/6/13 - Thursday 1/9/13. How are the games midweek here compared to Graton Cardroom or other casinos in the area [first timer to SF]?

I usually play in juicy, albeit, shallow games!!!

Weekdays at LC in the red chip games you'll prolly find a lot of the same grinders and ****ty regs and a couple really bad players per table. Graton definitely has more rec players.

Games are a lot shallower at LC 100bb max as opposed to 200bbs+ at graton at games up to 3/5
5T from my experience plays about the same at both places with stacks anywhere from 500 to 2.5k averaging 1.5k (gra is uncapped though)

Nope. Try Graton.

Graton spreads PLO often. At the moment (6pm Sat night) they have one 2/5 PLO game and one 5/10 PLO game. They often spread a mixed NLH and PLO 25/50 game too.

They're on Bravo.

New at Lucky Chances:

$4/8 Stud-8 (Hi-Lo Stud) with NO KILL will run EVERY THURSDAY at 7pm starting March 6.

Call LC now if you don't yet have your name on the board: (650)758-2237.

As with other "by appointment" games in the Bay Area, sign-ups begin one week in advance.

No I do not. I don't dress like a wannabe

I wore glasses once in an MTT 10 years ago for fun, misread my suit due to them and never wore them again.

I'm the guy who always wins there. Well usually. I occasionally have a bad session.

2/5 is fine. Day time full of regs. 2/5 has some good but not great players from what I understand.

1/1/2 during the day is a short stack fest. With the $6 drop it's hard to win money when the old men buy in for $40 to $60 and are unbluffable.

I always hear the structure for the lucky chances Sunday is really bad but does anyone actually have the blind structure. I would like to see it because I am driving from sacramento and want to see if it's worth driving so early in the morning for the last Sunday tourney. Thanks

While the structure is pretty bad (they skip a bunch of key levels), the value is INCREDIBLE. Not only is the player pool very soft, the rake is quite small, and better yet, they usually ADD money to the prize pool to ensure the first place guarantee (and without screwing over the lower places).

Furthermore, while the structure ensures a total shovefest as you approach the money, Bob (the tournament director) does something quite unique: once you reach the money, he LOWERS the blinds so that the average stack is approximately 20bbs. This definitely helps mitigate the bad structure if you make it that far.

I unfortunately no longer play those, as I moved back to the east coast last summer. Good luck if you play though!
