Always thought this was a dumb rule because it's on the honor system and the unvaxxed are the most likely to not wear one and lie about it so they don't have to wear one.
That was standard practice for much of the Bay Area at the time I posted back in July, but San Mateo county reinstated indoor mask mandate a short time later because of delta surge and it’s been in effect ever since
Went to Lucky Chances, had a great time, and was super surprised/impressed. Ton of cash games going (which wasn’t surprising), restaurant, bar, and an apparently new (very big) big screen tv. Awesome, very fun vibe in there. Didn’t have time to check out the restaurant and bar, would love to in the future. Oh, and the shuttle service worked great, and the driver was super friendly, a great guy. These guys (in my book) are leading the way in the Make the Bay Fun Again (what do we pay all this high rent for?) campaign/imperative, and I personally will crown them the champion, hands down when they host tournaments again (assuming they’re the first to do so). Hands down, by far, no questions asked, in my book. Also want to give props to some others, but like I said, Lucky Chances is currently leading the way in my book.
They used to spread a "baby PLO" game. 2/3 blinds. If you get a group of players interested in playing it, I'm sure they would run it if you worked with the floor.
The issue is that they would probably want to run it on Tues/Thurs nights which are their traditional PLO nights. Thus, it would fill with people waiting for the bigger game who would want to get straddle going, etc. So you might have problems keeping it smaller.
I’ve been really impressed with some of the adjustments LC has made through and post pandemic. The room was bumping last night and sounds like other players and dealers agree. This is in direct contrast to a certain room over in the East Bay that I used to frequent that has gone in the other, wrong direction.
