They also do 3-6 Big O & 5-5 PLO and maybe a couple others I don't pay attention to.
Greetings. I've just moved to LA last month and have played now at Commerce and the Bike repeatedly, and at Players once.
At the risk of sounding like a heretic and/or a snob, Players is the best of the three in terms of being player friendly, so far.
I was thinking about how to compare them and an analogy came to me that seems to fit: Commerce is the Walmart of LA casinos. It is large, pretty clean, well lit, lots of parking, huge selection, but with an apathetic staff, customers that run the range from nice to Jerry Springer reject, and really offers no surprises.
To my surprise and dissappointment, the Bike is Kmart: not as nice, still big, a large selection, decent parking, a staff that 80% hates the customers, and customers that 80+% hate the staff. The players here range from very nice TV/film people to folks who walk around begging from your food tray. I've played at the Bike more than the others so far, and familiarity has very much started to breed contempt. I may need a break from here for a bit.
Players Casino is the small indie place trying to get you to shop there. Customer service is actually understood, and the customers are much nicer. The dealers are friendly without crossing the line, the floor staff really seems to know what they are doing, and the place has a much nicer feel overall than either Commerce or Bike, at the cost of being over a hour away in LA traffic. Seriously, open one of these in Burbank and they would make insane bank.
Next up on the list to try are Hawaiian Gardens and Hustler. I'll see if my analogy holds up.
