And the player agreed to keep it?

Bet they didn't get much action that hand.

Has anyone been to Big Bluff in London yet? Thinking of going there on Tuesday for the 4pm £20 Turbo.

The Alderney Gambling Control Commission will hear the matters contained in the Hearing Notices at a Regulatory Hearing which will commence at 10.00am on Tuesday 26th July, 2011 at the Victoria Park Plaza Hotel, 239 Vauxhall Bridge Road, London SW1V 1EQ. Good shout? Or should I just wait for next month when I have more of a BR?
Do you have a separate bankroll online? It might be better to play the micros with that sort of money.

Yeah FTP ate it.

I'm just spending a couple hundred a month that I'm writing off as spent (entertainment). Not taking live poker seriously enough to care about proper BRM right now. Ill never go more than 3 times a month. I spend my winnings on whatever that month, and if I lose its no drama.

I suppose there might be rule, otherwise you could just say "I saw an Ace!" all the time. That'd be devastating in heads up.

I had a weird spot at the Vic on Friday.

I'm very drunk (stag do that ended up at casino). 1/1, I'm my usual active self. I straddle, button calls, both blinds call, I pot with A8, SB calls. Flop comes AJ3, dealer looks at me like it's on me to act, I check behind. Only it turns out that SB says he hadn't acted yet, so decides to lead.

Do I call the floor here? Does his action stand? Or is it my fault for trusting the dealer?

In the end I didn't and couldn't tell if he was ****ing with me because I'd checked. So I called flop, we checked turn, he led river and I folded as I had no idea where I was in the hand. Obviously if he'd have led the flop I'd have called & called river (there were no draws out so he was pretty much A3/33/bluff). I probably should have called river anyway, but such is life.

Also, I'm on a run where people have bluffed me and I've let them because I've been drunk/super active/losing quite a few hands and am surely the worst player at the table to bluff. Annoying when you can't quite calibrate your reads of how people perceive you.

There was a guy on the main thread on the subject in NVG referring to some non 2p2 link about attending, the thread is now huge and I cannot quite remember the details.

We will surely find out more about it in the next few weeks.

If dealer prompted you in any way, I would call floor, if hes just looking at you I don't think you have a case

It's a public hearing, so yes. The Hendon Mob have a post about gauging interest, so they can inform the organisers how many can be expected to attend and keep interested people updated about any changes.

See http://www.thehendonmob.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40368

I think it makes sense for THM to coordinate this - they're the closest to a London poker lobby we have, and of course they are very much associated with FTP.

I'm probably in for both. I assume you are too Josem, or are you coming to London purely in a professional capacity?

As an Empire (semi) reg: after catching up on the last couple of pages I am now ridiculously curious as to whether or not I already can recognise astrobel, snitchbomb, Dr. Futtock, etc. in real life.

And whether or not my real-life perception of them is different to my 2p2 perception of them
