Thanks for responses. What about Hippo and Empire? TBH I thought a ban would be a no-brainer; handling chips and cards and other surfaces while huddled around a table in a warm environment is surely a perfect recipe for transmission. Oh well, I guess they're just waiting for when the proverbial really hits the fan.
1 table last night at golden horseshoe...granted only 4 tables total. Online looked like all places had some sort of game (Aspers, The Vic, hippo and Empire)...just a matter of time. I would guess a few more days then lockdown like every other country
Random question related to the above post, how does tipping work in UK casinos? Lets say you win a hand and tip £2, does that £2 go directly to that dealer, or into a sort of "pot" that gets divided into all dealers that night? If the latter, does the dealer see his portion that night or is it added onto their wages?
I remember hearing someone at a table saying dealers only get half of what you tip, but it was a random guy playing so didnt put too much confidence into what he was saying.

Short answer is that it depends on the casino. I believe (happy to be corrected on this) that the Vic's cash game dealers get to keep their own tips, while for the Empire/Hippo it goes into a larger fund which is divvied up on hours worked.
I dont know on whether private, doubtful at palm. Was too high for me anyways.
The Vic, I guess it depends on who is there. They play whatever there. If larger stakes, i would try the Vic. Look at their Twitter and says whats running. Palm doesnt advertise.
Hippodrome, Empire, Aspers Stratford City and the Vic (Grosvenor Victoria) all use twitter to tell people what's running.
Would be keen for this, happy to set one up if there isn't an open one. I'm guessing there must be a fair few private ones. Could organise Pokerstars home games etc.
hey im from germany and want to stay a few months in london. do u know if i can play on stars.uk without residence in the uk? i play on stars.eu from germany
Empire saying they are hoping to open the live poker tables at some point after 15th August when the casino will open. No tournies for obvious reasons. Maybe short-handed tables but I'm not sure. Hurray for Jesus!
Just got into London yesterday but am on a tourist visa. Will be here a few months so need to get setup online. I’m staying at a relatives so no utility bills in my name. Also can’t open a bank account as a tourist. Any other options for verifying address to be able to play online? Thanks
From what I can gather from my own homework, Aspers (6 handed) and The Hippo (7 handed) will be offering cash games as of tomorrow, but not tournaments.
I think I remember from a facebook post a while back (when they were trying to open the first time before it got pushed back) that the Empire was planning to be six max. No idea if they've stuck to that
