Interesting, they haven't mentioned anything about the payouts but strange to pay so shallow, especially when a lot of people will be travelling down.

Made it through the first day 1 so will be back regardless.

I will be in London next monday to friday.

1. Do cashgames run 24/7 in aspers?
2. Are there tournaments where I can collect a UK hendonmob flag?

See you guys on the table

1) Yes, most of the larger rooms (Hippodrome, Empire, Vic and Aspers) will have at least 1 table running 24-7. Aspers have a cash game festival from the 20th-24th, so if your time in London covers some of that, there will be a LOT of cash action at Aspers.

2) Some but not your standard weekly tournaments for £50. The tournament at the Vic this weekend MAY be put on to the Hendon Mob.

Yeah the summer sizzler at the Vic didn't go into their database. I think the deepstack series might though.

Thank you, Cash game festival is actually the reason I am travelling to London.
No big deal about the hendonmob thing, il just win a weekly then

Comps are not a thing in London right?

The Vic has zero comps, most other places will give you free tea, coffee and soft drinks.

If you register, Hippo and Empire both have a loyalty scheme that gives you £0.60 to spend on alcohol/food etc for each hour you play, not sure about vic/aspers. It's not huge but it adds up if you're there for a week or so.

Thanks for the info man, will check it out when I get there.

Does anyone know what the "quick tables" are?

The quick tables at Asper's are tables where you only have 15 seconds to act. The dealer has a panel and if it looks like you aren't acting instantly they push a button and a 15 second countdown begins on a clock next to your seat. When I went to Aspers last weekend the only open seat they had was at a quick table so I took it but within an orbit I had asked the floor for a seat change to a regular table.

The most annoying thing about Asper's is when a fish or rec sits down at the table with way more than the max buyin and some idiot reg enforces the max buy in rule. They do it just because they want the ego boost of showing 'I know the rules.'

Sometimes I take a look at the table opens and I never see a table 5-10 or 10-20. So, How It is possible? In London never run high stakes?

On Friday night there was a 5-10 NLH and a 10-25 PLO at the Vic.

The Palm Beach is where the regular High stakes is, but as I've never been, can't comment on the size.

Dusk til Dawn is a massive one in Nottingham I think.. also the Genting Casino series around £100,000 GTD for a £440 buy in. Genting also do a few more mini series like the one fifty £150 buy in £15,000 GTD and buy ins like £330 or so for £30-50,000 GTD

Why did you leave the quick table? Only played it once but I thought it was great, it may need a few tweaks, like the 30 seconds addition of time you get every 30 minutes being a minute but generally really helped speed things up.

The biggest are probably not in casinos and anyone in them wouldn't post on 2P2 about them!!

The biggest in casinos would be games in Trickett's room at DTD in Nottingham, sure there is some crazy action there. Other than that, there are some big(ish) games at the Vic and Palm Beach in London. The biggest I've personally seen is mixed games at the Vic maybe 4 years or so ago, where there were 4 or 5 players each having 50K+ on the table.

Also wondering this

Will be visiting next week but I will be staying in the city center so Dusk Til Dawn is probably not an option.

I've been told Vic and Palm Beach run 5/10 games - do these run everyday? Is there a cap on the buy-in?

I was also told that these rooms advertise their games on twitter but the last tweet I saw from PB regarding 5/10 was from 3 months ago, and couldn't find any cash game mentions on Vic's twitter

Sorry if these has been answered before, just wanted the most recent information since the info I got seems like it might be outdated

The biggest games that run are usually private and run through invitation.

In London you should be able to get a 5/10 game most nights of the week and bigger games do run quite often.

My advice would be try the Palm Beach for the 5/10, it isn't a long way to the Vic by taxi if anything bigger is running their either.

Depending on your circle you might know someone who has access to these bigger games but obviously keep your eyes open for anything below board.

The Vic's poker room twitter is @ThePokerRoomUK. 10/25 NLH & PLO were running last night, 25/50 NLH the night before.

Vic NLH is uncapped buyin for 5/10 and above.

If you were looking to grind plo mostly online but with casinos close by, which neighborhoods would you consider living in? Soho/camden/brent park or somewhere more suburban and commute? Thanks

Soho/anywhere in Zone 1 is obviously great if you can afford to live there.
