I'll be staying HERE in July. Which casino in my area is the best for 1/2 and 2/5?

Empire and Hippodrome are a 10 min walk away (2 min walk apart from each other) and both have 1/2 and often 2/5.

If you like beer then make sure you go to the Euston Tap. It's a quirky little bar a short walk from here outside Euston rail station.

And yes, Empire and Hippo are your closest casinos with regularly running games.

If you're in central(ish) London, then either the Vic(toria casino) or the Mint. If you're out East, then you could consider Aspers in Stratford. They all have websites that the week you are there will tell you what's on.

So, being well ahead of the relegation zone, I've qualified for The Hippo cash-race nonsense on 7th June. Unfortunately, I won't be playing there until then so can't ask them the question... and the question is this:

What are the prizes for the final table contenders?

Anyone in the know?

Oh, look... what an interesting line of tumbleweed just floated by. No, but seriously, not really surprised by the lack of a response as the staff were pretty tight-lipped about this when I asked them anyway. Zero motivation to play cash games atm (1 outered on the river - after all-in on the turn - at The Empire for a £900 pot a few weeks ago after a week-long run-bad from hell) and I just wanted to know what I can realistically play for.

whats the standard of play in the 1/3 and 2/5 in the Vic. The 2/5 must be one of the bigger regular games in London?

I asked them the same question back in Feb. The manager's reply was that the prizes will be made up of credits for more local tournaments. I am not sure if this means that you get, say, £500 in tournament credits or you get the buyin for a specific pokerstars tournament, but it will be something along those lines.

Putting it out there, anyone looking to sell Euros for £?

Looking to purchase about £5k or so, PM me, preferably someone reputable (i.e. has at least 50 posts)

The Hippodrome does have semi regular tournaments, so you may get lucky

I also forget that the Empire has tournaments but there structure is really horrible. They have a Sunday with 25 minutes blinds but the blinds pretty much double in the early levels, so it's a bit of a crap shoot.

Got to say I was pretty disappointed with the prize-pool for the WSOP Seat cash-race "freeroll" that The Hippodrome put on. 1st prize was probably worth ~£12K with 2nd prize being a £500 voucher and 3rd (won by yours truly) a £300 voucher for any upcoming tournies. Considering the rake that the top 45 players paid to get into this, I don't think this top-heavy payout structure was particularly fair tbh. Yeh, ok, it may have been "free" but what about the cost of putting all those hours in for over three and a half months!?

Anyway, apparently, there is a July promotion celebrating The Hippodrome's 50th birthday which is supposed to be incredibly juicy. Don't know exactly what it is but you heard it from yer Uncle Futtock first boys and girls.

you can't really complain about it considering you don't pay extra rake towards the package, yes the prize structures sucks but it's suppose to be free.

Congrats for "making it into the money"!

I agree that I was disappointed with the prize pool. Of course it was and so it was a nice bonus, but I should just not have bothered about it. The average stack was probably worth about £300 in EV but I would have much preferred to have a sensible pay out structure, where everybody at the final table would get at least something like £400.

Mind you, it would have sucked even more to burst on the bubble with AA against 82o.

Btw, who won the Vegas package?

Total shot in the dark here, if any of you are interested in playing a friendly 3/6 or 4/8 limit horse plus triple draw for banter at the Hippo then PM me. I have been told by the floor that they'll look after us and will handpick the dealers. I already have a few names who are confirmed

get in touch with GrimIsCool on here he'd love that game. I'd be up for playing as well if you're easy on relative beginners! (I've watched some introductory videos on run it once, but imagine I'd only slow down the game

It's hard to slow down a limit game too much , anybody else PM me, we'd only need a couple more. Although I don't know if those cheap £1 blues would be able to be stacked up like a proper limit stack

Hi everyone,
I'm thinking about moving to London in October to play online e live poker.
Do you know if there is a app, or a specific site, that tracks the action live like Bravopoker app?
I saw each site of each casino in London and I didn't find info about table open and action cashgame real time.
My goal is find some daily action in NLH from 2-5 to 10-20.
Thank you

Someone made a website that aggregates all the casinos twitter poker feeds, it's been posted here several times. Just read the past few pages, you should find the link somewhere.

You've already been told about the aggregated twitter feeds.

The Grosvenor casinos (including the main poker room at the Vic on Edgware Road) have details on their website and also on their own app.
