I'm headed to Vegas next week; who has the best low-stakes (sub-$100 buy in) tourneys on the strip?
this past summer, I played at, and had fun at:
Luxor, Excalibur, Mandalay Bay morning tourneys (all under $50 buy-in)
also MGM and Caesars, played tourneys there (about $65 b-i)
any others I'm missing, in the main strip area, that are good to play in that are inexpensive? I'm new, so want to 'learn on the cheap', any that are walking distance from bellagio area and/or MGM area
overall I like the Venetian's poker room best, but the players there are mostly way too good for me
thx..

You pretty much nailed it. IN addition to Caesars and MGM, put the morning and evening MTTs at Mirage in the same class- less than $100.00 and pretty touristy to play in. Treasure Island is priced about the same. Some days I've played there with almost 40 runners.
Lower priced MTTs sometimes don't even go, like at Ballys, off-hours at Golden Nugget, Harrahs.

also i remember when I was playing a tournament at Caesars (I don't like the cash games there, but the big room for tourneys is ok).. a woman told me about some kind of "bounty" tourney at harrahs where you get $20 or something like that for any player you bust out, that seemed like a good idea, didn't play there tho, maybe this time
