I went here this weekend in my continuing exploration of Southern California poker rooms.

Trip report:

Despite the name, this is a California card room, not a full Indian casino. It's easy to find, being right off I-15 in Lake Elsinore, about 90 minutes ESE of Los Angeles and about the same time from San Diego, it appears. The building itself is fairly industrial looking, similar to the Bicycle, but much smaller. The parking lot is a study in poor paving and parking skills, but was fairly well lit when I left.

The inside was much nicer than the outside would suggest. The room has about 20 tables plus some California games (BJ, 3-card poker, etc). When I arrived on a Sat night at 6pm, there were 5 live cash tables and 9 tourney tables going, due to a very decent deepstack tournament that has started about an hour earlier.

The tables have autoshufflers, and the room uses the Bravo (rare for SoCal).
They had 4 tables of 2/3 NL ($40-300) and 1 table of 4/8 Omaha going, plus the tournaments. Later a 5/5 ($100-1000) opened also and was running when I left.

When I arrived, I put my name on the list, with 4 others. Almost immediately, one of the 2/3 tables broke, and a new one was not opened for a half hour. I found this odd. Also, the new table was opened as a must-move, which is apparently standard procedure for this room, but wasn't clear to new players (me). I understand the reasoning, but the room should not assume everyone knows their common rules,

That being said, the staff was quite nice and friendly, the room was clean, and there was plenty of space between tables. There was standard food service, drinks and alcohol, and there is a players card with common low comps, based on game played. They did also have free Wi-Fi, with decent bandwidth.

Overall, the action was decent to good, but with no notable incidents. The dealers were all competent or better, usually friendly, and I saw no dealer/player abuse. If this room was close by, I could see myself playing here often, but the distance will keep me from going back unless something truly special is happening.
