2. Watching a vblog last night about the venue, gal said smoking is permitted in the poker room? That sounds terrible if true.
I've been there a few times (playing tournament, - not cash games...but I've walked around the cash game area in the breaks). I've never seen anyone smoke. Dunno if it's permitted, but if it is the smokers are very few and far between.

3. My understanding is the casino is in the middle of nowhere. Is there anything to do walking distance if you get tilted?
There is really nothing there unless you count massage parlours, other casinos and...erm...'massage' parlours.

4. Is the restaurant good value for money? decent quality? any other restaurants nearby?
There's free food (salad, some pasta, some meat dish, basic veggies, basic desert, fruit) which is sorta OK. Recently they started charging a euro for a slice of pizza.
The restaurant is pretty decent, though, from what I hear.

English is spoken at all tables (by dealers and players). With a lot of czech and german players 2-way-table-banter will often be in that language.

Just to add on to the previous post, because I was back there last week: It's definitely no smoking. Huge signs everywhere.

anyone here going to be playing this series -
Monsterstack Madness Kings Casino Rasvodov

I am in Europe and the dates are such that I cannot find any other Live Event except for PokerStars Festival 1,100 Euro event in Lille but that is just 3 tournies. I guess I could sell a big chunk.

So, any info on the structure of this Series in King's Casino would be useful and also which one should I hit up. The other being: Pokerstars Festival Lille

Unless things have changed they used to have the tourney structures on their website. Watch out for the hidden rake in Kings tourneys.

Any recent updates here? Going in a few weeks for some WSOP circuit events and seems like a good spot.

Hi ladies and gents,
I am going to Rozvadov for the BIG WRAP PLO evnt in early Sept. Staying 6 nights. Partner coming and have some questions if anyone can help.

1. Flights? Where should we fly to Munich, Prague or Nuremburg?
2. Casino shuttle or train/buses? What would you recommend?
3. Things to do outside of poker room? Promised partner it wouldn't be poker 24/7
4. Getting to Prague from Kings Resort, how easy/expensive?

Honestly any advice would be great. Will do my own research but am a bit of a travel noob haha.

Cheers

I've been there three times, by car. It's in the middle of nowhere. I don't know any efficient way of getting there other than with the shuttle or a rental car.
There is not really anything to do besides poker. The spa maybe, but I don't have experience with that.
I can't help you with your other questions. GL

Any of those is fine, I personally do Prague just because I come from out of the EU, allows me to buy a Czech sim card for usage there and in Prague. Look at all 3 options and choose the best flight.

Definitely car rental. The shuttle is expensive (I think close to 150 euros each way). There are no trains, no buses.

Going back to your 2nd question, you definitely will need a car to do non-poker things. Rozvadov is literally in the middle of nowhere and there's nothing to do there, like you need a car for a 5 mins drive for groceries.

If you want to do other things, you'll need to drive to "nearby" cities. Munich is a couple of hours drive away, Pilsen is like 30 mins away, and Prague a bit more than an hour drive.

If your partner doesn't play poker, this could become one of the most boring trips for them. Or maybe an opportunity to get started

expensive without a car, but when driving it's fine.

TLDR: Rent a car.

Going to Rozvadov without a driving licence from Germany.

So I went there last week. I got the train from Berlin to Weiden in der Oberpfalz which is the nearest city to Rozvadov with a station. Then I got the local bus to Waidhaus - which is the last town over the German border, around 4km from Rozvadov. Then called Kings to pick me up from there which is ten euros. You can also just get the shuttle to and from Weiden which is 40 euros.

Weiden is a pretty good entry place into Rozvadov anyway if you don't have a car. Trains and buses to all over Germany.

Also check Blablacar the ride share site. If people are driving from Nuremberg to Czech Republic then they will go on the highway right past Rozvadov so you can book a seat and get them to drop you off.

On the way back I got a Flixbus from Weiden - they are good because you can book one or just cancel it or change it for a fee.

Here is the local bus timetable from Weiden to Waidhaus. Once an hour from directly outside the train station. No buses on Sundays or public holidays. Costs I think 6.40 - some go direct and some you have to change in Vohenstrauss - but the bus to change to is already waiting for you there and you don't have to wait.

As people have said, there is absolutely nothing to do for your partner whatsoever when you play in Rozvadov! Only options are - I believe the casino has very nice spa facilities. Or if they play any poker at all there is usually a nightly tournament in the 50 to 100 euro buy in range.

Prague is amazing though if you have never been there. Well worth a few days.

Flights return booked from London to Munich for €290
Train/coach booked from Munich airport to Weiden for €31 (Inc. Luggage, reserved seating)
Shuttle from Weiden to King's Casino fir €40
6 night deal at kings €400

So between two of us that's €381 each with hotel, travel there and flights back. Still got to sort travel from Kings back to Munich for our return.

Pretty damn good if you ask me!

Really need help getting to King's Casino tomorrow for WPT Germany. This is my first time to be there and I didn't expect it was so difficult to get there from Munich.

It seems like cleanshaven last post are the best way to travel to King's Casino and cheap too. Does it still valid on that way? Where can I book shuttle from Weiden to King's Casino. I check with King's and they are charging EUR 180 for one way from Munich airport to King's.

Really urgent and need someone advice.

Munich is less then 2h drive away. You can drive as fast as it goes on German Autobahn
