there is a poker club here. Its even official since poker is a skill game.

They do rake 4% though. Not sure if uncapped (according to friends here).

If you ask me if private high stakes home games are "fully legal", i dont know.

I have been wondering the same thing. I have read different things online. Mostly that Russia recently made poker illegal this year and most other Eastern European countries are following suit.

However, I have also read that the poker following in Eastern Europe is proving to be quite strong. The people of Kiev, and other Russian/Former Russian cities, are finding loopholes in the law. There are many high stakes tournaments (one loophole is tourneys are not gambling, LOL) you can find some on this website:

Thinking of going to Kiev for a few weeks stay. Before going out to clubs, pokerclubs is nice i think. I am after profesional, safe place to give some of my money away while i drink beer. Anything up to 2/4 is fine, woud prefer 1/2 tho, since its better to use money on women.

So I was in Kiev about 35 days ago and poker was good and legal. I am in Kiev right now, again, and it appears they have again made it illegal. I went to check in at my favorite club, the Kreshatik club, and they are currently closed. They have been closed for about 1 week but the locals believe they will be up and running again within 2 weeks.

Hey guys, does anyone know of any poker clubs open right now in Kiev? I went by Kreschatyk and they're closed.

Guys I am in kiev right now , there is a ver nice poker club its called Kreschatyk. Various Tourneys, many cash games. 7/24 open. very safe and luxurious place.

Hi guys i know i resurected this thread from the dead, but does someone know in 2018 is it legal to play holdem in Ukraine and where can i play it. I will be there from 22.11. to 5.12 and i dont know anyway to spend time but play poker, so can someone point me somewhere and maybe someone from Ukraine can explain what are the games, players, venues, ect. Thanks. I found one club and it says its some championship of ukraine holdem , dont know excetly is it in November, but would like to play it
