Mason,

The tournaments are doing OK, averaging just over 100 a day for the 12p events and 70 or so for the 5p events. We've seen multiple 2-5 games daily in addition to the usual ton of 1-2 NL and had two 6-12 mix games going the other night. Was hoping to get a PLO game the night of the PLO tourney but it didn't get off the ground.

Staying at MGM May 16th-19th with my gf (fiance after the trip ). When I played there a couple of years ago they were running a .50/1 game, has that run at all since? I'd like my gf to be able to play, but she makes me nervous at any 1/2+ table. Avoiding playing at Bill's again (even though she made ~5 BI last trip there) would be optimal.

I believe they got rid of that some time ago. Good luck with the proposal!

$0.5/$1.00 no longer available..... you can tell her to go see the lions instead...oh wait..that's gone too.... well, at least you are right by the sports book...oh wait...we are in the temp location...

OK. All kidding aside, don't worry, $1/2 game always soft, I am sure she will do just fine.

And a gf who likes to play poker herself and not just sit behind you but secretly praying you lose all your $ so you can get up and go for dinner? This girl is a keeper!

Good luck w/ the proposal!

If you tell MGM that you are proposing (ie. do this at the check-in counter, w/o her listening in) or ask the concierge, usually they can do something for you.

Good luck!

Details on the mix game? Is it strictly/mainly HORSE or are there any draw games included?

There are usually draw games included. Recently they were playing O/8, 2-7, Stud/8, Badeucey, and Razz/Dugi. Had a 6-12 Mix last night and we'll be spreading mix games the rest of the week starting around 5pm.

Please keep this going! Will be out in late June/early July and will certainly play it.

Have not played at MGM in a few years. All they had was NL and also it was just TOO LOUD there by the nightclub.

I liked that .50/$1 game. No angleshooters and few tv-poseur-wannabes. Every time I was there they had a full table and sometimes two. Did they kill it because it didn't rake enough, or because dealers complained about tips?

Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback and well wishes. Bummer about the game though, figured it was a longshot. Back to the rail and/or Bill's for her!

Not sure why you wouldn't want it to stay as a regular game...?

Hey, Karina! I't's been a long time since we've talked...I'll be sure to stop by the MGM sometime soon and say hi.

The mix game has been on hold temporarily, while the WSOP is going on. We are planning on restarting it on Wed. July 11 at 5pm, and hope to see everyone there.

MGM had 6 tables of 2/5 going on fight night... great action.

Has Brad Garrett been playing at MGM more often now that his club is open? I have seen him there once or twice now.

Yes. Was at MGM memorial day weekend on that Friday where they also had the UFC fight. Thats when it was 3 table.

Will be in LV in a couple weeks. Swing by and say hi! (since you know, you supposedly know who I am...)

Is the room back in it's normal spot? And, if not when will it be back?
When the mix game comes back will it still be 6-12?
Headed out there in about a month.

I heard something from a couple of dealers that there's a new rule being enforced. We're not allowed to show our cards when we're heads-up, or talk about the hand. I wonder why this change was made.

Hello, is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone at home?

The room is still in the temporary location and there is not a definite date on when it will be moved back, but best estimate is probably Aug/Sept. The mixed game should run more consistently after the WSOP when I have more time to organize it. It definitely helps when I am there to get it started. The limits depend mostly on who is playing. It ran this past Wednesday as a $4-$8. Let me know when you're coming in and I will do my best to get a game going.

Was just there this weekend.

Floor guys confirmed the Aug/Sept date that Karina quoted.

However, they also said that they have been told it might be Dec if it's worst case.

Place was pretty packed. 3 tables of 2-5 on Friday and had 21 total tables going. Temp location isn't bad. TVs are easy to see and has its own cage.

Cheers,

S

Not sure if this is true. When I am there, if I am in a hand heads-up and one of us is all-in, I always show my cards
