There have been a number of promotions offered over the last couple years trying to get 4/8+ to run but it has never gone. There is no market for the game in Cleveland.

They have eliminated the 3/6 game in Columbus and now only offer 4/8.

Yeah, I asked if they would do that (make 3/6 not available), but it is a customer driven thing. If people want to play 3/6, they're not going to make them play 4/8. It's just about getting to critical mass for the change. I'm not there enough to affect that I don't think.

Let's face it. Management has to promote any "new" game until it gets get a critical mass of players. This includes lowered rake, no jackpot, increased comps, etc.. I played at the Venetian a few years ago and they were trying to get an 8-16 LHE going. They dropped the rake to $2 (from $4) and increased comps to $3/HR (from $1.5/HR). The two tables were packed. Maybe not immediately profitable, but definitely after the promotion. They are going to have to try something to fill the room.

Since it's 3-6 to 4-8 maybe $100 for 4 hours of play.... 50 bucks for 2 hours..

No chance in hell the regs would give up their shot at the bbbj. Really just need to lower the rake imo.

Yep, the regs would play a 2/4 limit if they ran it.

Has anyone heard if there will be another one of those "stimulus satellites" for the upcoming quarterly $1500? They had one on a Sunday last quarter but not much was advertised about it.

Anything on this? Been super selective about playing here but I think I'd turn out for this.

I had overheard a few days ago that the new poker room manager is not giving away as many seats as Karen did. So I would assume that there is probably no 10 seat giveaway tourney his time around.

Can anyone confirm the BBJ min qualifying hand has finally been changed? Heard it was, but Bravo has not been updated in 10 days.

They have been very inconsistent with showing the tournament clock on Bravo lately. It takes less than 30 seconds with the click of one button. People want to know the numbers!

So far this new guy is just implementing things that aren't going over very well. The must move option is really weird and stupid. Players don't have to move if they don't want and the new player in basically gets the worst seat. I don't like that but I'm not sure if that's the dumbest thing going on....

The other day we were playing full table PLO and the one player went on dinner, another left for a while, and a third man went walking but wasn't clocked out (that's ok). We asked for reduced take which used to be auto $4 at 6 handed but the floor was called and they said we had a full table so no reduction. The new rule is that "it's not the casinos fault players are walking". If there are chips, it's considered a player is there. So we were 6 handed paying full rake. The fish got mad on principal and said he was leaving and I convinced him to stay. They did say that they were going to strictly enforce walking players time and 3 man walking rules.

So far the new must-move option has worked in my favor, but it's easy to get screwed. The players at the feeder table basically have the option to keep the game in tact if it's good and move if it isn't, while the players at the main game are just stuck. I kind of like not forcing people to move but imo it has to work both ways. Maybe extend the rule to the main game: if a seat on the feeder opens up give the main game players the option to move if a new player is coming in.

And lol at the rake rule. A chip stack with no player behind it is no different from an empty seat. Sounds like a money grab from a poker room that's going down hill.
