It definitely sucks. Especially in 1/2 NL when they're raking the pots at a higher amount than most casinos, while at the same time taking out an extra dollar from every pot. I actually won the high hand today, which is nice I guess, but during December it was paying out 400 and now only 100. There definitely needs to be a lot more done in this room in regards to the promo fund. I don't even think more than half of it has been used which is ridiculous imo.

I, for one, am ticked off everytime i see the 300-400k promo fund figure posted underneath the tiny badbeats.

Checking out bravo poker live so many good promos going on in rooms throughout the country. Our $100 high hand on Tue, Thurs, and Fri. screams of just laziness to do something more creative and continuing to do the minimum just to appease the regs. Can't wait for competition this room won't stand a chance.

what happen when they run out of promo money was 600k now around 300k-everybody will be bitchin then this area seems to have more whiners than the west coast?

How do you propose they "run out" of promotional money?

I don't think it makes a different at all. About the only people who would enter the tournament just because there was added money are the only decent players in the field.

Most of the tournament regs just like tournaments over cash and never cared about the added money anyway.

If you play tournaments though it definitely hurts your profitability quite a bit. In some tournaments the added money was fairly significant to the prizepool. But basically, I don't think it did much to help the room so its probably good its gone.

They won't run out of promo $. As bobby might suggest "don't play" isn't the answer. The answer is keep the pressure on mgt. by constantly asking. Yes the Christmas promo was great but it's over. We're not asking for extra just be competitive with what other rooms are offering. $100 high hand 3 days a week is a joke it doesn't bring anyone to the room. It's great that something else is starting soon but we've all heard that before now it's almost Feb. $6 rake should equal more than we're getting.

The spade promo paying out around 15k a day that is 30k a week plus around 8k a week for high hands, huh 45k going out 35k coming in according to your count. Plus adding 1k a day for Bad Beat Paying out more than taking in. you want higher pay-outs until the fund bust, happens all over the country. I do not think any room cares about this venue, I talked to some of the supervisors in the room and they said they do not look at 2+2-too negative and nothing fresh. I would hope that is not true.

They say "NOTHING FRESH" from 2+2. How about walking into that stale room everyday and having the life sucked out of you by lack of promos, bad and slow dealers, terrible management that doesn't understand how to attract and keep new players. That is "NOTHING FRESH".

By top guys you mean, gambooolers who have no concern for win rates or rake and probably are losing players overall.

The quality of play in these tournaments is so poor it almost makes the tournaments profitable despite the structure and high juice.

Some of the worst offenders are these "Regs"

What is the rake in the tournaments?

Lol that's very sad to hear they don't read on here. 2p2 is literally the reason Hollywood Cbus now has a player panel that meets with room management frequently to better everything poker related.

Spades pays 15k a day? If thats the case, what a waste of money. Id rather see a $5k freeroll every day of the month. Or top 100 players with hours gets a seat in a turbo or something. Just randomly handing out $15k in $200-1000 increments doesnt sound fun to me.

Per Bravo this afternoon, I noticed that the 1-2 PLO game is now 1-2 with 5 Bring In.
The floor says it's a 100 min buyin and 500 max buyin.

If this is true then it is a great way to use promotional money. Dump the stupid spades promo, up the high hand of the hour, and make more freerolls. This is what the players who are up here all the time want.

Or increase the bad beat jackpot and reserves. Then lower the payout to aces over tens v quads or better.

Or increase comps to $1.50/ hour or 2.00/hour during off hours..

Every old man coffee in northern ohio will come out there nitting it up...

Came down tonight to play, all action gone by 11:00. Witnessed regular players getting hassled at last call by security. Security suddenly has 2 cops and 4 security guards around because reg were "making a scene" about finishing his drink by 2:15. Worst managed casino i have ever frequented.

A reliable dealer said they received approval to keep their own tips, but did not have a definitive date. Can anyone else verify this?

Not sure but all dealers think they are going to make $35-45 an hour now. That's 70-100k a year. I'd like to see that one. At least it will weed out the bad dealers.
