For anyone playing this morning, a review and or feedback on the re-opening of the room would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Played both Saturday and Sunday, just 1/3NL...really impressed with a lot of things. The plexiglass setup is the best I've experienced of any place I've been to in the last year, which is admittedly only like 3-4 other places. Cleanliness is good, action great in two days. Full rake of $6+1 at six handed obviously sucks though. I was really happy to see them not get rid of the call ahead list like some other places have done.

My understanding is the $1 drop is going towards a bad beat jackpot that will start in April. I do wonder what they spent the existing promo funds on from last year...maybe all the plexiglass costs or gave it away to casino players? I was also told that there won't be a "poker room manager" to replace Brian and that it will be done by committee. I hope they get rid of the BJ tables up there and put in a few more poker tables. If the first two days are any indication, the demand for poker is quite strong in NE Ohio, which was not a surprise.

Was there anyone playing blackjack during the times you were in the poker room? It has been my experience that those tables are almost always closed.

Almost all of the blackjack tables in the poker room were in use for pretty much the entire 9 hours I was there on Saturday. Not so much yesterday but I believe they were open...I was on the side of the room where they typically have the PLO games so didn't venture over to that other side at all.

One minor improvement on the rake situation for the long term I forgot to mention earlier. It is 10% up to $6 now which is better than the 12.5% up to $6 BS they had before

I'm coming to Cleveland with Mariano (the vlogger) on Friday 4/23 and we're going to attempt to get a 5/10nl going if anybody is interested. We'll be there around noon and will try to start it as early as possible

You fancy a poorly-run dump of a poker room?

The most I've ever seen on the list post-COVID is 3, and the floor doesn't want to run 5/10 because they rake more at 1/3. I may be in the area in the evening and will try to help get it started.

5/10 has run several times since the casino has reopened. It usually happens later in the evening by converting a 2/5 game. However...if enough people get on the list early enough, I’m sure they would be more than happy to open a game.

A few players were already talking about the possibility of a 5/10 game starting early next week because of this thread so I think you stand a fair chance of getting the game off.

Games were good. Game with Mariano did end up running. Started as 5/10 around 1 pm but changed to 5/10/20 (mandatory straddle) within an hour and ran for almost 15 hours.

These lists tonight are pathetic. I feel bad for the few dealers still here. The lack of management and **** is awful

The other casinos in the state have lifted restrictions and went back to 8 or 9 handed. Anyone know why Jack hasn’t?

They are going to 8 handed (maybe straight to 9) Dealers mentioned it would take about 2-3 weeks to remove plexi and refelt tables and what not because there’s some back order issue or something. I don’t remember the exact details but it’s gonna happen soon-ish.

Any word on removing those gaming tables from the poker room and bringing back the extra poker tables to return the room to its previous full capacity?

The gaming tables are already gone, they did that this past Monday. Not sure when they are putting poker tables in their place though. There is a supervisor podium that still needs to be removed as of Thursday night though.

They removed the plexiglass but went to 7 handed for some reason. Most places that lifted restrictions went to 8 or 9 but they picked 7 for some reason, weird.

noticed all the 5/10 plo action lately… thinking of coming to town to play. Any insight into what’s driving the game?

Stimulus money. Despite what we are told by mainstream media and politicians on how people are desperate and hungry most people made more money the last year then they ever have, especially the lower class citizens. And now that the casinos are back open they have a place to blow it. Gonna dry up soon through.

Yeah man, those two BIs the gov't gave out 6-18 months ago must really be driving the game now...
