Hey Guys. I'm thinking of making a trip to Cleveland from Cincy this week to check out the new room. In several posts I've noticed people talking about bracelets as an entry lottery. Are they limiting casino entry during opening week and if so what's the best way to get in?

Thanks in advance and welcome Ohio poker!!

They basically ran a lottery via a facebook app for opening night tonight. 1,500 guaranteed numbered spots. All reports I've heard they are limiting to 5,000 total people for tonight. Max capacity is just under 12,000 so i don't understand the limit. I'm going straight to the poker room!

MAX capacity may be 12k but they only have gaming spots for about 4000 so I am guessing they do not want 8000 people walking around not being able to play.

Purely a guess, but I'd imagine they are thinking it would be much better to let too few people in than to overwhelm their staff on the first night by letting in too many.

I was told by a manager and my casino host that 3500 will be let in at a time. I think its becasue the dealers are all rookies and will crap their pants when people rush the tables and place crazy bets.

Poker is going to run a 5/5/10 plo and plo8 rbr game on friday. Only in cleveland can this run! I would play if it were plo and nlo8 bc that makes a lot more sense to me but I would think that a $100k bankroll would be enough for this game. I mean we have people cashing out $10k at 1/3 plo games at times.

I'm surprised there's enough interest in higher stakes PLO to spread 5-5-10 PLO - how often did this kind of game run at Nautica? What would average stack size be, $2500ish?

Has anyone heard of how big the NL games will be? Would really like to see a couple 10/20-25/50 games running. Hopefully the 10/25 players from Rivers and Meadows will stop in. Anyone heard anything?

very few 10/25 nl players around. Think about it... That game doesnt run in vegas. 10/20 is the biggest and thats bellagio and aria. Nobody plays 25/50 anywhere.

Also, the 5/5 plo games are big enough. Its 5/5 with a 10 straddle so think about that. That game ran 3 days a week at Nautica with no hitch. But the fish went broke and the good players now just play each other. Very few fish sit at a 5/5/10 game with deep stacks.

Nautica tried a 5/10nl game and it didnt get off but 2 times and short handed. They may as well be playing 100/200 because it was super tight. I am sure the players were all 2+2 members.

So they are limiting crowds Monday. Any sense of if everyone will be able to get in Tuesday?

I agree with the nitfest at nautica 5/10NL. We played a 5/10NL FR one Friday but it broke after a couple hours. Are saying the biggest games likely to run are 5/10NL and 5/5PLO? I've been seeing 12 people waiting for the 10/25 at Meadows on Bravo and I'm assuming that game migrated there from Rivers? Who are these guys?

12 names of people who when the game is called only 2-3 show up. Its the cool thing to do... Put you name on the highest list.

Nobody shows up with enough $ to play those... 5/5 PLO with a straddle is big enough for a regular game.

It will be interesting to see what games the poker room gets tonight. With only 300 capacity, should be a full house.

Lots of games $10/$25 and higher run in Vegas. Used to be a consistent $25/$50 at rivers until one of the players went to jail and another one got kicked out of the casino.

I would love to come out and play some $5/$10, but my buddy told me they don't even have a $2/$5 running

I'm curious if they will get any limit o8 games going or maybe a mixed lhe/lo8. I'd expect the highest lhe game they get will be 5/T. Meh...

I have played in the big local game everyone is talking about being at the new Casino on Friday. *It is a group of lawyers, doctors, accountants and farmers who have been playing for almost 10 years. *They have an awesome bar they usually play in with two TV's on which they watch only Purple Rain and Prince Videos. *They guy who runs it dresses in all purple every game. *Very interesting group of guys.

They play mostly Omaha Hi & PLO8 round by round with something they call a "fun button" where once every round a player gets to call any game they want. *They once had an $18,000 Acey-Ducey pot. *Their favorite game to play is called Slider which is basically PLO8 with two flops and a draw before the turn. *They have some very, very aggressive players. *The Cleveland poker scene is littered with players who could not handle the level of aggression in that game. *It will be interesting to see how long the Donkeys play in the new casino since they will not have their beloved "fun button" games.

I think 10/20 NL will go off on random weekends but not regularly. 5/10 NL and 2/5 PLO should go off every weekend for awhile IMO.

I dont want to get in an internet back and forth but i spent 6-9 months a year in vegas for 3 yearsand nothing bigger than 10/20 runs ever. Now during the series yes but on a daily basis (besides bobbys room) nothing runs. If 25/50 runs then you get every big name pro like huck seed and tran and bonomo. Those are the line ups.

Very likely limit, the floor needs to fix it on the screen.

I see this second they got 9 on the 1-2 PLO and 11 on the 5-10 NL list - someone needs to get the shift to call those games down. It's opening night, they should be on top of getting every game that can go going.

Fair enough, I was talking about the series anyways. When I mentioned $25/$50 I was talking about Rivers Casino.
