Floor tells me the all in is for $180. I refuse to pay the additional $100 as the amount told to me pre was $80 and I may have made a different decision. Place is worse than nautica was.

Scenario 2 isn't the worst decision in the history of the world as one can argue accepted action applies if they really wanted to, but scenario 1 completely blows my mind if accurate.

I see that they have a PLO promo encouraging people to play PLO as much as possible.

How is the action on weekends in the 1/2 PLO games usually? Is it a nit fest, only shoving on flop with sets or the nuts, or is there decent action? Me and a few finance people want to play some PLO this weekend here but we do not want a nit fest.

What is the average stack in the PLO games? Rake?

So does the poker room manager get the boot when Jack sells?

That’s awesome!! Hopefully it goes back to the horseshoe and it stays 1/3 not 1/2

Unless someone has info i have not heard, which is certainly possible but i am not holding my breath on a deal of the casino being sold any time soon. There are a lot of rumors going around. I am a reg at the casino, one day i heard dealers and coaches talking like it was sold and everything was changing over next month. Then the next time i was there i heard employees saying they have no knowledge of a deal being made and one dealer was firm in his opinion that no deal has been made. That being said i really hope Caesars does in fact buy it. And i really hope they would build an actual casino like the original plan and get it out of downtown.

At this time no official deal has been announced. There are even rumors of other suitors for the chain. No matter whom purchases the Jacks I doubt they will be building a new casino.... at least not in the next 5 years after the purchase.

I hope Caesars does buy it, so we can get a good reward program back (one that I can use outside Cleveland). I agree that they probably won't build a new one--like the original plan. But, if they do, it's still stuck downtown: a block away from the current one. That's because of the Ohio Constitutional amendment that allowed casino gambling. It specifies only a few blocks of land within the entire state that can have a casino like the Jack. I would love to see it out of downtown too--like Columbus. But, unless we vote in a different amendment, we are stuck with it there.

As far as nobody wanting to buy Jack, i can not imagine that is true. Its a profitable casino. But yes caesers would be ideal. It is my understanding that Gilberts motivation for selling the casino is not because he is not making money but rather he is interested in buying an MLB team(Detroit tigers), and there are some type of rules in baseball about owning a team and a casino, it is not allowed so gilbert would have to sell all his casino's if he were to buy a team. I think that is where all these rumors came about, there was an article saying gilbert wanted to buy the tigers, and the snowball of rumors followed.

I don't see the racinos getting table games with dealers for at least 5 years.
The whole state would have to vote on it because of the constitution. And whomever owns the Jacks along with Penn National Gaming will spend lots of to sway the vote to keep things the way they are now.

Thinking about a once a week trip, what’s best parking? Does poker get free parking in any downtown garage? Cheap hotel or Airbnb near by?

Thanks for any insight.
